HARRISBURG, PENNSYLVANIA: John Fetterman broke ranks with his party, criticizing the Democratic Party campaign messaging, calling it "toxic" after years of "shaming and scolding" voters.

He said, as per Fox News, “I think their primary currency was shaming and scolding and talking down to people and telling them, hey, I know better than you, or you’re dopes, or you’re a bro, or you’re ignorant or, how can you be this dumb? I can’t imagine it. And then, by the way, they’re fascists. How can you vote for that?”

The Pennsylvania Democratic Senator made the remarks while appearing on the ‘Somebody’s Gotta Win’ podcast with Puck correspondent Tara Palmeri.

John Fetterman, whose home state is reportedly a swing state, also went on to explain that people who chose Donald Trump over Kamala Harris in the 2024 election are “not fascist.”

“They don’t support insurrection and those things. And if you go to an extreme, and you become a boutique kind of proposition, then you’re going to lose the argument. And we have done that,” he stated.

Besides, the politician believes that the last election was a “gut-check kind of vote” where the people of America were focusing more on who’s “going to protect or project [their] personal view of the American way of life” instead of any “obscure policies,” as reported by UnHerd.

John Fetterman claims Democrats lost election due to border issue

This was not the first time that John Fetterman was speaking against the Democratic party. In November following the election, he said, “Well, one area where we kind of lost ourselves was the border.”

“And I've been on this network, you know, months, months ago saying, 'Hey, you know, it can't be controversial for our party to have pro-immigration, but we need a secure border.' And when we ask or demand people to not believe what they see, and see those kinds of numbers, that's not a problem. It's like, well, then you lose about that 100%,” he added at the time.

Not only that, earlier he also called out Representative Nancy Pelosi, D-California, for her alleged role in former president Joe Biden’s back out from the presidential race.

Fetterman shared, “People like [Nancy] Pelosi, she really tried to — what’s the word I’m looking for? — she embraced this ‘she’s the godmother, she’s the enforcer.’ And now she’s blaming Biden. Well, you can’t have it both ways. You got what you wanted, and now you’re still blaming Biden,” as per The National Desk.
