BOULDER, COLORADO: The haunting unsolved case of JonBenet Ramsey, the once vibrant child beauty pageant star, and the quest for justice has not waned.

John Andrew Ramsey, JonBenet's brother, boldly declares, "We know a stun gun was used" unveiling a shocking theory in the long-standing cold case.

Unveiling the stun gun theory

Further, Colorado County coroner Dr Michael Doberson introduced the stun gun theory, supported by experiments using anesthetized pigs to compare injuries with a similar case. "The pictures indicate that. When she went to bed that night, those marks were not there," JonBenet's brother stated.

Appearing on '60 Minutes Australia', JonBenet's father, John Bennett Ramsey, and her brother expressed that the pain still feels fresh as they discussed the unresolved case. The father recalled the tragic discovery of his daughter's lifeless body in the cellar, with a garrote tightly wound around her neck, alongside a ransom note inside their family home in Colorado on December 26, 1996.

John Ramsey slams Boulder police department

John criticized the Boulder Police Department stating it "shouldn't have been a hard case to solve," alleging a rush to judgment and an unwavering determination to blame him and his late wife, Patsy, from the outset. The family contends that the police made up their minds on day one, contributing to a flawed investigation.

"There's nothing more dangerous than a police department that's made up its mind, because they are totally excluding anything that conflicts with that conclusion," John stated. "They made up their mind on day one," as per Radar Online.

JonBenet Ramsey's parents exonerated in 2008 amidst DNA revelations

Formally cleared in 2008 after DNA from an unknown person was discovered at the crime scene, JonBenet's parents were absolved of suspicion, though it came too late for Patsy, who succumbed to cancer two years earlier. Recent developments in December 2023 reignited hope for the family as a cold case team convened to review the homicide investigation.

Former detective John San Agustin highlighted the presence of an intruder, pointing to DNA evidence from JonBenét's blood-stained underwear and fingernail clippings. Dr Doberson underscored distinctive markings on the young victim's neck and back, suggesting stun gun use, further challenging the initial conclusions.

Despite promising leads, the family revealed a shocking oversight involving another assault on a young girl named Amy, which went uncharged. The mother of the girl confronted the assailant, who leaped off a second-story patio to evade capture after assaulting the young girl. Despite the severity of the incident, no charges were ever filed, prompting the victim and her family to relocate.

Andrew Ramsey pledges ongoing pursuit of justice

John theorizes that the perpetrator had infiltrated Amy's residence before the family's return, echoing "And that's what I believe happened in our case." Adding to the complexity, a surprising revelation unfolded: Amy and JonBenét were acquainted and attended the same dance school.

JonBenét's brother, Andrew, expressed frustration, labeling the investigation as "sheer buffoonery." "The Boulder Police threw away the bedsheets where she was assaulted on, so there was no ability to go back and do DNA testing. Similar to us, they just absolutely bungled this investigation."

As JonBenét's father ages, Andrew has vowed to persist in the quest for justice until his sister's killer is brought "behind bars."
