LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Jon Stewart delivering a witty and critical commentary on the final night of the Democratic National Convention on the Thursday, August 22, episode of 'The Daily Show'.

In his segment, Stewart gleefully dissected the reactions of Fox News pundits who had been notably skeptical of the DNC’s events.

The four-day DNC in Chicago which concluded on Thursday, was a celebration of the Kamala Harris-Tim Walz ticket, with notable figures like Barack and Michelle Obama and Bill Clinton turning up to show their support.

Jon Stewart mocks Fox News' dismissive take on DNC’s opening night

Jon Stewart opened his monologue by airing a compilation of Fox News hosts’ dismissive remarks about the DNC’s opening night.

Jesse Watters had described it as “probably the most boring scene I’ve ever seen in my entire life.”

In response, Stewart sarcastically remarked, “Ooooh, so boring,” poking fun at Watters’ lackluster view. “I forgot your life is a never-ending joyride of talking to Brit Hume in between catheter ads on Fox.”

The humor continued as Stewart noted the irony that even Fox News had to admit the convention's success as the week progressed.

“But unfortunately for Jesse Knievel over here,” Stewart quipped, “the next night even Fox had to acknowledge, ‘fire emoji, fire emoji, fire emoji.’”

He then showcased another montage of Fox hosts reluctantly conceding that Tuesday’s DNC events appeared lively, though they continued to chide Democrats for focusing too much on “the vibes” rather than “the actual issues that matter".

Jon Stewart's sarcastic take on Jesse Watters refusing to acknowledge DNC's success

Jon Stewart sarcastically said, "Did the vibes fatten you up, or are they emotional Ozempic?”

“I guess you’re right. You can’t feed your family on vibes. You can only feed your family on immigration fear-mongering.”

The segment turned to Fox News' take on Wednesday night, where pundits begrudgingly admitted that running mate Tim Walz was a solid complement to Kamala Harris.

Stewart joked, “The Walz came tumbling down,” while also noting Watters' persistent denial of the convention’s positive reception. Stewart said Watters “bravely continued the pretense that the convention was going badly even when the footage right next to his f**king head".

He aired a clip of Watters claiming the DNC “felt like a funeral,” despite footage of Democrats dancing jubilantly.

“And we all know funerals always have a DJ,” Stewart remarked with a smirk.

In his opening remarks, Stewart also targeted Donald Trump’s obsessive live-posting on Truth Social during the convention. The former president's all-caps rants about the event had grabbed attention.

Stewart humorously suggested, “If I was Donald Trump right now, I’d probably just be tweeting nonsensical s**t to distract from the fact that [Harris] doesn’t faintly resemble the caricature that’s been painted.”

He added, “By the way, that is what he was doing. These are his real tweets.”

Stewart wrapped up his commentary with a final jest: “I swear to God, the guy running for President on the Republican ticket has morphed into a poor man’s cat turd.”
