Juana and Nayeli Medina: Texas mother-daughter duo killed in apartment shooting leaving 5-yr-old orphaned
IRVING, TEXAS: Irving police department and officials are searching for the man who has been accused of killing a mother and her daughter on Friday night, January 19.
A small memorial is set up outside the victims’ home where the murder took place.

As per Fox news, Irving Police say that the shooter is still on the run. The victims were identified as 23-year-old Nayeli Bolanos Medina and her 56-year-old mother, Juana Medina Rodriguez. They did not publicly identify a suspect or share any details on what they believe led up to the shooting.
The family of the mother and daughter killed are demanding justice. Candles and flowers were covering the front steps of the Irving apartment where the crime was committed.
Family members confirmed with Fox 4 that the two were shot and killed last Friday.
According to Irving police, the shooting at the Park Springs apartment building on West Irving Boulevard occurred just before nine o'clock at night.
Police investigation continues
One of the victims was found dead inside the apartment while the other was pronounced dead at the hospital. Police said the shooter ran away before they got there.
The family has issued a statement saying, "The family hopes the person responsible for this is found and that they pay for the injustice they committed. They are leaving a 5-year-old an orphan."
According to the family, Medina's 5-year-old child was inside the flat at the time of the incident. Irving police claim to be investigating multiple leads, but they haven't identified a possible suspect.
They also withheld information regarding possible preludes to the shooting. The family is receiving assistance from the El Salvadorian consulate in Dallas with funeral preparations so that the mother and daughter can be buried in their native nation.
Irving police say they’re only looking for one person.
