Kahmari Price: Teen on Massachusetts 'Most Wanted' list arrested for 2023 murder of Mark A Boyd
BROCKTON, MASSACHUSETTS: Authorities announced the arrest of a 17-year-old boy who was listed as one of the state police's ''Most Wanted" people. The police claim the youngster fatally shot another man in Brockton in 2023.
Kahmari T Price was taken into custody by Massachusetts state troopers, Brockton police, and Worcester police on Monday, April 1 morning, according to State Police spokesman David Procopio.
Police identified Kahmari Price as suspect in Mark A Boyd's murder
Procopio stated that Price was sought after in connection with the February 26, 2023, shooting of Mark A Boyd, a 33-year-old Quincy resident, on North Main Street in Brockton.
Around 10:27 am on that particular day, a Brockton police officer on routine patrol heard gunfire near North Main and Spring Streets.
When police arrived on the scene, they discovered a man—later identified as Boyd—who appeared to have had a gunshot wound to the head.
Price was eventually named as the suspect in Boyd's shooting investigation, according to the cops, and a warrant for his arrest was obtained from Brockton District Court.
"Price was actively attempting to avoid capture since the homicide," Procopio said, The Enterprise reported.
Kahmari Price was added police's 'Most Wanted' fugitives list
Following the investigation, Brockton resident Brian Price, 41, was also taken into custody on suspicion of accessory after-the-fact murder and intimidating witnesses. He entered a not-guilty plea to the charges.
Tara Stone-Price, the spouse of Brian Price, entered a not-guilty plea to charges of accessory after the fact of murder. Their court cases are still pending.
On October 11, 2023, Kahmari Price was added to the State Police Most Wanted Fugitives list. With help from the State Police Critical Technical Investigations Team, members of the State Police Violent Fugitive Apprehension Section located Price on West Boylston Street in Worcester on Monday morning.
At 9:41 am, Price was apprehended without any problems, according to Procopio.
At his arraignment on Monday in Brockton District Court, Price entered a not-guilty plea. He is being held without bond, per a judge's order. His next court date is May 1.
