Kamala Harris assures party donors 'we are going to win' as she backs Joe Biden during wacky video meet
WASHINGTON, DC: Vice President Kamala Harris met briefly with the leading Democratic Party donors on Friday, July 19, to express support for her running mate.
Harris assured about 300 significant Democratic Party donors on Friday, July 19, that they had nothing to be concerned about despite the media circus surrounding President Joe Biden's campaign, Fox News reports.
Kamala Harris assured donors that they 'are going to win this election'
"I will start by sharing something with all of you, something I believe in my heart of hearts. It is something I feel strongly you should all hear and should take with you when you leave, and tell your friends too," Harris told the donors, according to multiple reports. "We are going to win this election. We are going to win," she added.
"We know which candidate in this election puts the American people first: our President, Joe Biden," Harris said in support of her running mate.
Kamala Harris praised the Biden administration while speaking to donors
Harris addressed donors via video for roughly five minutes, praising the Biden administration and harshly denouncing the statements made by former president Donald Trump during the Republican National Convention.
"Let me be clear: Trump’s convention this week was one big attempt to distract people," Harris reportedly told donors. "He wants to distract attention away from his record and his Project 2025 plan. Can you believe they put it in writing? It is further empirical evidence that the stakes of this election couldn’t be higher," she added.
Kamala Harris' video meet was intended to quell fears among party donors
The purpose of the call was to allay party donors' concerns that Biden's campaign might suffer greatly from internal party opposition. But, after her brief speech, Harris did not answer any questions from the donors, leaving some to question the purpose of the correspondence.
Furthermore, the call was made the same day that almost a dozen Democratic lawmakers expressed their desire for Biden to withdraw from the race.
Joe Biden has vowed to stay in the race
Biden has made it very evident and consistent that he plans to continue competing and face Trump in November as the Democratic Party's nominee. Although some Democratic Party critics of the administration have not accepted that Biden is actually running for reelection, the White House has been unwavering in its declaration that he is.
"The president's in this race," Campaign Chair Jen O'Malley Dillon told the hosts of MSNBC's 'Morning Joe' on Friday morning, July 19. "You've heard him say that time and time again," Dillon added.
Kamala Harris gets chiacked by internet users after her ludicrous interaction with donors
Netizens didn't waste much time to scorn the US vice president, considering her vexed reputation among the country's citizens. The 59-year-old California native is also the alleged frontrunner to replace Biden if, just in case, horse sense hits the president and he decides to step down from his current role.
One X user spat, "That’s because she knows if Joe steps aside they ain’t going to make her the candidate but will hold a mini primary!" Another tweeted, "It just took her 500 words to say 'nothing to worry about.'" "So she is now taking over the role of Baghdad Bob!" mocked one while someone else penned, "If Kamala says that there is nothing to worry about, there IS definitely something to worry about."

"Probably has the illegal voters lined up," jibed one and another commented, "The cheating is on." "Famous words in history!!" one user took a shot at Harris' one-sided communication with the donors.
