WASHINGTON, DC: Kamala Harris has cleared her stance on gun control.

In her latest X post, the Vice President wrote, “Congress must renew the assault weapons ban,” while sharing a poster which read “BAN ASSAULT WEAPONS.”

What did Kamala Harris say about gun policy?

During her recent interview with 6ABC Action News, Kamala Harris was asked about her take on gun policy, to which Harris responded with, “We are not taking anybody’s guns away,” reported The Guardian.

“I feel very strongly that it’s consistent with the second amendment to say we need an assault weapons ban. They’re literally tools of war they were literally designed to kill a lot of people quickly,” she explained.

Most recently during her presidential debate with Donald Trump, she hit back at Republican opponent’s claiming she’d confiscate their firearms.

“Tim Walz and I are both gun owners. We’re not taking anybody’s guns away,” she said on September 10.

Back in 2019, while doing her first campaign for president she first admitted about owning a gun. “I am a gun owner, and I own a gun for probably the reason a lot of people do — for personal safety. I was a career prosecutor,” she said, reports Associated Press.

Internet furious over Kamala Harris' call for banning 'assault weapons'

Netizens expressed their displeasure at Kamala Harris stance and questioned her comment on guns during a recent presidential debate. Many accused her of lying and asked her to clarify what she considers an assault weapon.

A user shred on X, "But I was reliably told, by you, 4 days ago, that you would not take our guns. Is your Run Spot Run plan to just make us all felons instead?"

A second user wrote, "She just said she wasn't coming after our guns."

"I thought you told us you were a gun owner and the claim that you wanted to ban guns was false during the debate?" one questioned.

A person suggested, "Do an interview and describe what you consider to be an assault weapon. 🙄 🤡🌎

"Hmmm weird how 5 days ago you said you would not take guns away…..oh that’s right you LIED," another called out Harris.

One person opined, "You let criminals pour in through our Southern border, we need our guns now more than ever. Come and take them."

"So, you lied about this at the debate. What else did you lie about?" another chimed.
