Kamala Harris ignites feud rumors with former running mate Tim Walz following subtle speech snub

SAN FRANCISCO, CALIFORNIA: Former Vice President Kamala Harris on Wednesday, April 30, fanned the flames of feud rumors with Minnesota Governor Tim Walz, who served as Harris' running mate during her unsuccessful 2024 campaign.
During her speech at a fundraising gala in San Francisco on Wednesday, she did not take Walz's name while she namechecked some dedicated politicians who have been standing up to the Trump administration.

Kamala Harris skips Tim Walz name during her speech
Harris' speech skewered President Donald Trump's controversial and divisive policies and the looming threat she feels he poses to democracy, according to The List.
Notably, the speech was a call to action for all the people who feel Trump is damaging the country, per the outlet.
Meanwhile, at a point during the speech, Harris gave a shoutout to some dedicated politicians who have stood up to the Trump administration, including Bernie Sanders, Cory Booker, Jasmine Crockett, and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, among others.

However, she did not mention Walz, and it was a surprise for many as he not only campaigned alongside Harris but has been very vocal in his efforts to stand against the POTUS' administration.
Interestingly, the speech snub took place after a month of Walz admitting in an interview with The New Yorker that he and Harris have barely spoken since their election loss.

Walz said during the interview, "Maybe she doesn't want to talk to me after we got this thing done."
However, Walz has been honest as he criticized himself and Harris after their defeat. He told Politico in March, "We shouldn't have been playing this thing so safe. In football parlance, we were in a prevent defense to not lose when we never had anything to lose because I don't think we were ever ahead."
Tim Walz reveals why he was chosen as Kamala Harris' running mate
During an appearance at the Harvard Kennedy School on April 28, Tim Walz said he was chosen as Kamala Harris' running mate not only because of his liberal stances and storied career, but also because of his ability to connect with White voters and make them comfortable voting for a woman of color to be the next president, according to The List.
According to National Review, Walz said, "I could code talk to white guys [who were] watching football, fixing their truck, doing that, I could put them at ease."

He added, "I was the permission structure to say, 'Look, you can do this and vote for this.'"
Walz made these comments just two days before Harris' speech in San Francisco, which may have led to why he possibly got snubbed in her speech.
Internet trolls Kamala Harris for her speech snub
