PALM BEACH, FLORIDA: Kamala Harris' presidential campaign launched a new television and digital advertising blitz on Wednesday, August 28, targeting the conservative policy agenda known as Project 2025.

The advertisements are set to air in seven critical battleground states.

However, they are also strategically aimed to run in Florida’s Palm Beach-Fort Pierce media market to grab the attention of Donald Trump at his Mar-a-Lago residence.

The primary focus of Harris campaign is warning voters about Project 2025, a controversial policy blueprint developed by the Heritage Foundation, a conservative think tank, according to USA Today.

The campaign wants the advertisement to run in Trump's home market, hoping that the Republican presidential nominee will see it while channel surfing.

Overlaying clips of the former president, the ad's narrator says, "Donald Trump's back, and he's out for control, and he has a plan to get it. It's called Project 2025."

"I would have every right to go after them," and "I will wield that power very aggressively," the narrator asserted.

What is Project 2025?

Project 2025, a 900-page 2025 Presidential Transition proposal outlines policies and initiatives some conservatives hope a future Republican administration would adopt.

The project, which covers five main topics, "Taking the Reins of Government," "The Common Defense," "The General Welfare," '"The Economy" and "Independent Regulatory Agencies" is a “governing agenda” that includes insights from scholars and policy experts.

Among its wide-ranging policy proposals, the project aims to reshape the powers of the executive branch.

Eliminating small government agencies, rolling back funding for abortions, and approval of mifepristone, an abortion pill are also proposed in the project.

Another significant proposal is the reimplementation of Schedule F which could affect 50,000 workers.

Schedule F is a classification for federal workers, making it easier to dismiss them and replace them with loyalists.

Democrats viewed Project 2025 as evidence of an extreme agenda that could be implemented if Donald Trump is reelected in 2024.

Donald Trump's response to Project 2025 links

Previously, Donald Trump insisted he has "nothing to do" with Project 2025 and sought to distance himself from the conservative policy blueprint.

The 78-year-old politician denied any involvement and even mentioned that he disagreed with several aspects of the proposal.

“I know nothing about Project 2025. I have no idea who is behind it," Trump wrote in his Truth Social post on July 5.

“I disagree with some of the things they’re saying and some of the things they’re saying are absolutely ridiculous and abysmal. Anything they do, I wish them luck, but I have nothing to do with them," he said of plan.
