CORAOPOLIS, PENNSYLVANIA: Vice President Kamala Harris' latest clip of purchasing Doritos ignited a meme fest online after it was alleged to be staged.

The soon-to-be Democratic presidential nominee recently made a pit stop at Sheetz on August 18 during her campaign trail in Pennsylvania to buy a packet of Doritos. She was accompanied by her husband, Doug Emhoff, and her running mate, Minnesota Gov Tim Walz.

Walz shared the video on X (formerly Twitter), garnering nearly 5 million views. He captioned it, "Every road trip needs a snack break. Doritos acquired. I got you, @KamalaHarris."

Harris also reshared the post, calling it "Teamwork."

Doritos, a popular flavored tortilla chip, made headlines last week after the vice president revealed in a fundraising email that she ate "a family-sized bag of nacho Doritos" on 2016 election night.

In the 10-second long original video shared by Tim Walz, the Minnesota governor is seen giving Kamala Harris a big bag of nacho cheese Doritos during their visit to the convenience store, while Doug Emhoff stands next to the VP holding a smaller packet.

An X user posted a longer video where the presidential hopeful could be heard asking for Doritos and going in search of it. She returned to the camera soon after Emhoff handed her a small bag of chips.

To make things worse, allegations of the video being staged surfaced online. In the version shared on Harris's official X handle, she asked for corn nuts, but Walz handed her the Doritos bag instead, suggesting an improvised moment.

Harris' revelation of secret guilty pleasure that helped her to escape the shock of Donald Trump's 2016 election victory by eating a family-sized bag of Doritos drew flak from conservatives.

Elisabeth Hasselbeck, former co-host of 'The View,' denounced the VP over the 2016 incident.

Appearing on Fox News last week, she asked whether binge-eating a bag of Doritos should be the "emotional response of the leader of the free world."

"You just talk to a Kamala Harris supposedly eating a bag of Doritos after hearing this—that's the commander-in-chief?" Hasselback asked, adding, "I am shocked. I think this is aside from politics. If you just go on your aptitude, we have a big problem here and it's scary."
