WASHINGTON, DC: Vice President Kamala Harris is seen by American adults as a more honest person than former president Donald Trump, according to a recent poll, but they are less likely to believe her when it comes to important topics like immigration and economy.

Out of 1,164 respondents surveyed by AP-NORC, four out of 10 believe that Harris is more "honest" than Trump (24%). Approximately 40% of respondents also think Harris "cares about people like you," as opposed to approximately 33% who say the same about Trump.

People believe Donald Trump will do better in handling economy

On the other hand, according to The Associated Press, 45% of respondents stated they thought Donald Trump would manage the economy better than Kamala Harris (38%). Independent voters are almost twice as inclined to trust Trump than Harris when it comes to addressing economic concerns, and a similar disparity was noted regarding immigration.

In terms of addressing matters pertaining to race and racial inequality, abortion rights, and health care, Harris is more advantageous than Trump, reports Fox News.

Kamala Harris is strongly backed on abortion policy

Approximately 50% of American citizens believe Kamala Harris would handle each of those issues more well than Donald Trump, compared to roughly 30% who believe Trump would. When it comes to women, Democrats, and independents, Harris is particularly powerful in the abortion debate.

The majority of Democrats, around two thirds, also state that they are "excited," characterizing their feelings in the event that Harris is elected as either extremely well or very well.

The level of enthusiasm is a stark contrast to Joe Biden's candidacy as a Democrat; in a March AP-NORC survey, only four out of 10 Democrats stated that they would be "excited" if Biden were to win another term.

Internet lashes out at Kamala Harris despite being depicted as more honest than Donald Trump

Netizens slammed the Democratic presidential nominee even though latest poll results showed her to have significant advantage over Donald Trump. One X user tweeted, "Anyone who views her in any way honest is a moron." Another added, "A candidate with no policy is either dishonest or stupid. Vote Smart."

"Name a bigger lie than hiding the President’s dementia for years. Pretending he had COVID when he really had a stroke? Pretending he willingly stepped down when you forced him out? Those are pretty good contenders," remarked one. "What the f**k kind of bullshit is this? Who are you people asking? Nobody with a brain cell left trust her!" said someone else.
