LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Former Vice President Kamala Harris and her husband Doug Emhoff attended the basketball game of the Los Angeles Lakers on Thursday, February 6, reported the Daily Mail.

They were seated in the cheaper section of the Crypto.com arena, as per the publication, and were trolled for it over the social media platform X (formerly Twitter).

Kamala Harris' appearance at Lakers' game

After being defeated by Donald Trump in the November 2024 general election, Kamala Harris returned to her home state of California from Washington at the end of last month.

On Thursday night, she and Emhoff attended the NBA fixture as the Lakers took on the Golden State Warriors, However, instead of being seated courtside, the couple made their way to the back to take seats in front of the broadcast booth.

Harris was captured making her way through the arena to reach her seats. The video went viral on social media, as very few people seemed to take note of the ex-Vice President who left office less than three weeks ago.

Harris was also the Democratic nominee in the last election after former president Joe Biden decided to not run for a second term in the face of concern for his mental acuity. She did wave at a few people in the arena on Thursday who recognized her and acknowledged her presence.

Internet mocks Kamala Harris for getting cheap NBA seats

Netizens on X trolled Kamala Harris for not getting VIP seats with her husband at the Thursday game, and walking among the crowds almost unrecognized soon after holding the second-most important public office in the country. The following tweets demonstrate their takes.

"Kamala Harris went to the Lakers game and nobody there cared," wrote a user.

"Kamala Harris is at the Lakers Warriors game in like row 58. Should’ve saved some of that money," mocked another.

"Kamala Harris and Doug Emhoff arrive at the Lakers game. Pretty much nobody cared. Just goes to show you how unpopular Kamala really is and how all the hoopla while she campaigned was completely fake," noted one more.

"Harris and her dorky hubby went to the Lakers game and no one paid any attention to them. They were seated back in row 58!" echoed someone else.

"I've seen crappy actresses get a better crowd response than this. LMAO," stated yet another individual.

"That must hurt but shows reality," observed a user.
