WASHINGTON, DC: Joe Rogan appears to have set the record straight regarding presidential contender Kamala Harris not appearing on his popular podcast prior to the US elections in 2024.
The podcaster of ‘The Joe Rogan Experience’ recently opened up about the debacle which was recently highlighted in a book, ‘Fight: Inside the Wildest Battle for the White House’ by authors Jonathan Allen and Ami Parnes.

Rogan appeared to reveal what happened between his team and the former Vice President Kamala Harris' campaign team following the reports that his show misled Harris’ team.
The top shot podcast host not only detailed his reason, but he also later shared the clip on his X platform, writing, "This is what actually happened with Kamala not coming on the podcast."
What was the debacle regarding Kamala Harris and Joe Rogan’s podcast team?
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the ‘Fight’ authors spoke to several insiders of Harris campaign, who claimed that the former VP created a campaign stop in Houston with Beyonce on October 25, so that Harris could have a potential appearance at Rogan’s podcast.
However, they claimed that they were later told by Rogan’s team that the date “was blocked out as a personal day,” which was later revealed as the same date when he interviewed current president and then-Republican candidate Donald Trump.
Joe Rogan claimed Kamala Harris’ campaign lied
Dismissing the rumor, Rogan said, “This whole idea that we f***ed her over and we f***ed her over for Trump — incorrect, just not true," as reported by The Hollywood Reporter.
The podcast host continued, “One of the things they said that wasn’t true was that we lied about the day that Trump was coming on, and we just didn’t [say] that Trump was coming on.”
He shared that booking rump for the interview was easy, as he explained, “This is how it worked: Trump was really easy to book. Like, super easy. We offered one day. He said, ‘Yes.’ That was it. It was no, ‘What are we going to talk about? How long is it going to be? Is it going to be edited?’ … It was so easy. So he was already booked.”

However, it was different with the Harris campaign, as the podcaster claimed, [The Harris campaign] never committed to doing the show … They said that the reason why they did the Beyonce event in Houston was so that they could be in Texas to do my show. They never agreed to do the show. None of that’s true. They also said that they sent someone down here to the studio to do a walk-through of the set. That’s not true. These people didn’t have a date. They never agreed to do the show.”
He claimed that his initial goal was to release both interviews on the same day, as he continued, “I even offered to do it [interview] late that [same] night. So the night that Trump came on, I’m like, ‘What if we do her when she’s done in [Houston], if she came here?’ But no one ever committed to doing it.”
He highlighted, “This is really important, because they keep pretending that I lied.”
Joe Rogan said that Harris’ team wanted him to go to DC.
He further continued in the episode, claiming that the campaign wanted him to fly to Washington, DC to film an interview with the ex-VP.
“Even after Trump went on, they offered for me to come to DC and do a show with Kamala,” Rogan said, before adding, “But then, it was only like 45 minutes to an hour. And it was not on my set. And I said that, ‘Look, [Trump] did it here. We should probably do it here if it’s possible’ …”
He added, “[The Harris insiders are] saying we were difficult to deal with. Not true. We were super easy. But also it’s got to be the actual real show. It shouldn’t be some fake version where I’m sitting in a conference room.”
He added that there were other demands as well, including that they should have a stenographer in the room among others.
“Oh, also, they wanted a stenographer in the room,” went on Rogan, before continuing, “They wanted staff in the room. Trump was just in here by himself.”
“It very controlled, and they were really concerned that [the podcast] wasn’t going to be edited. My manager asked, ‘Is she committed to doing this?’ The answer was ‘No, she hasn’t committed,’” added the podcaster.
The influencer further added, “Like they wouldn’t even say whether or not she had expressed willingness to do it… There were some people that were supposedly on her staff that were against her doing it. They thought [the show] was bad because [they are] a bunch of wokesters.”
He theorized, “So I don’t think they ever really were sure they wanted to do it,” before noting, “Then, once Trump did it, [the interview] had this huge response. I think then it was like, ‘What the fuck are we doing? He just did it. Got 50 f***ing million views. This is so stupid. Why didn’t we do it?'”
He also revealed that he was not just making claims in the thin air, as he is quipped with receipts. “We have all the receipts, by the way,” he added, before noting, “Of course, I have a whole list of conversations that took place … I think it’s someone trying to cover their ass for the fact that she never did it, and if she did do it, it might have had a positive effect.”
“[If] we got along great, and [it improved the] ‘young male vote’ things could have been different … [The authors] supposedly talked to 150 different people [about] what happened with her coming on the show,” he noted. Regarding the book, he said, “They didn’t talk to us, and which is kind of crazy. They didn’t even ask. But they said things that just weren’t true.”
