Will Karoline Leavitt continue as press secretary?
Leavitt's pregnancy announcement raised questions about whether she will continue in her role as White House press secretary. A senior White House official told Fox News Digital that she will remain in the position. Notably, she will become the first pregnant press secretary in US history.
The joyful news comes after a moment last month when Leavitt’s son, Niko, captured attention at the White House. He met Waddle, the alternate National Thanksgiving turkey, in the White House briefing room. Niko stood near the 50-pound turkey by the podium where Leavitt regularly addresses reporters.
For the occasion, he wore a T-shirt reading, “Mama’s Little Turkey.” He tried to climb out of his mother’s arms to get closer to Waddle, crawled alongside the large bird, and laughed as he reached out to touch it. His playful behavior drew smiles from reporters before he ran toward the podium, and Leavitt picked him up.
