WASHINGTON, DC: Karoline Leavitt was showered with praise by conservative social media users on X after Margo Martin, special assistant to the president and White House communications advisor, uploaded a clip of her praying to Jesus before attending a news briefing at the White House on Friday, April 11.

At the age of 27, Leavitt is the youngest person in the history of the United States to hold the office of the White House press secretary. She started her career as an intern in the White House during the first term of President Donald Trump before being appointed as an assistant press secretary under former White House press secretary Kayleigh McEnany.

Leavitt worked as a spokesperson for the 2024 presidential campaign for Trump before being installed in her current office, as per Fox News.

Karoline Leavitt's praying video goes viral

In the viral clip on X, Karoline Leavitt is seen standing in a hallway outside the press briefing room in the White House, preparing herself to face reporters on the other side.

Before the door is opened for her to walk in, she offers a prayer, saying, "Lord Jesus, please give us the strength, the ability, and the knowledge to articulate our words and have fun and be confident. In Jesus’ name, amen.”

Martin captioned the video with, "This is your @PressSec, America!" accompanied by a praying emoji and the US flag.

In an interview with CBN last month, Leavitt shared that she has a habit of praying before evering meeting, saying, "I think that team prayer before is just a moment to be silent and still and ask God for confidence and the ability to articulate my words, knowledge, prayer, protection, and it is a nice moment to reset. It's the last thing I do before I go out there, and then it just gives me the confidence to do a briefing."

"My faith is incredibly important to me. I would argue now more than ever, being in a role that is very demanding and at times controversial, and there's a lot of public pressure and discussion online about who you are and your family. And you know, it could be difficult for someone who doesn't have faith but with faith, all things are possible," she further added.
