WASHINGTON, DC: White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt sparked a debate online with her latest praise of President Donald Trump.

During a Monday Fox News interview, she claimed Trump barely sleeps and works "around the clock," prompting both admiration and skepticism from viewers.

In an appearance on the station, Karoline Leavitt said, “I just want to say to your audience: There’s not a more hardworking president than Donald J Trump."

She continued, "I witness it with my own two eyes every day. That man is working around the clock. He hardly ever sleeps.”

She went on to add that Trump is “constantly thinking about not just the problems in our country here, but around this world, and how to solve them."

Donald Trump's midnight posts prove the claim but his golf habits raise questions

While Trump has often posted to social media late at night, including a March announcement that he was buying a Tesla, critics have pointed to his frequent golf outings and daily media habits as signs of a more relaxed routine.

Trump's White House physician in 2018, Ronny Jackson, said, “He’s probably been like that his whole life. He’s just one of those people who just does not require a lot of sleep.”

Jackson’s comments reflect a similar sleep pattern to former presidents like Barack Obama and Bill Clinton, who also reportedly slept around five to six hours per night during their terms.

Yet one report reveals Trump spent nearly 40 of his first 175 days in office playing golf, with travel and security costs reportedly totaling $26 million by March 29, according to a HuffPost analysis. Much of that money was reinvested in his resorts.

Internet reacts to Karoline Leavitt's claim about Donald Trump

Online reactions were sharply divided, with some users celebrating Donald Trump's drive and others casting doubt on Karoline Leavitt’s statement.

“That’s the kind of leadership we need, all in, all the time,” wrote one user on X.

Another pointed out, “Trump has been seen starting his work day at 11 am and is golfing every weekend unless he is on a trip. That sounds like working less.”

“He sleeps at every meeting or event. Just look at the videos of him dozing off during events,” wrote one user.

One more added, “Trump is a machine!”

“Trump hardly sleeps. No wonder his deterioration goes faster,” said another.

“That man has the energy of a 30-year-old and I adore him hands-down the best president the United States has ever had,” wrote another user.
