MILWAUKEE, WISCONSIN: A Milwaukee Pizza Hut employee, Kavonn Ingram, 31, is facing charges of first-degree intentional homicide and hiding a corpse after allegedly killing his manager, 55-year-old Alex Stengel, and leaving his body in a trash can behind the restaurant.

The disturbing events unfolded on February 7, when a garbage truck driver made a grim discovery, finding Stengel's body in a trash bin behind the Pizza Hut in South Milwaukee.

What was motive behind the crime?

The Milwaukee medical examiner confirmed Stengel's identity and ruled his death a homicide, revealing he had suffered a gunshot wound to the head and puncture wounds to the neck.

Police believe the motive for the murder was related to a $7,000 inheritance check that the manager had recently cashed.

According to a criminal complaint, Ingram shot Stengel in the head in the Pizza Hut kitchen and attempted to slit his throat. Surveillance footage from a nearby Taco Bell reportedly captured the suspect struggling to move a garbage can containing the victim's body to the dumpster at the back of the Pizza Hut.

The police were alerted when the garbage truck driver found the body. During the investigation, officers discovered a trail of blood leading from the Pizza Hut kitchen to the dumpster area. Although the kitchen floor had been recently cleaned, investigators found blood on a sink, mop handle, and light switch.

Kavonn Ingram's girlfriend reveals chilling details of murder plans

Ingram's girlfriend provided crucial information during police interviews, stating that he had plans to receive a large settlement that Stengel had recently obtained.

She also revealed that Ingram discussed shooting the manager and mentioned “If… your gun is to his head and you shoot him in the head, it works as a silencer, and no one else is gonna hear it,” as per The State

When police searched Ingram's residence, they found a gun in a backpack, along with Pizza Hut paychecks stained with blood. He is facing multiple charges, including first-degree intentional homicide, use of a dangerous weapon, hiding a corpse, armed robbery with the use of force, and possession of a firearm as a convicted felon.

Ingram, who is being held on a $200,000 bond, appeared in court on February 18. The investigation is ongoing, and he is scheduled to return to court on February 23.
