During the gala, Grant revealed that people have noticed a change in her artwork since she fell in love. Recalling a visit to her studio, she said someone pointed out that her paintings appeared happier than they had before.
“I think we all know that. It's true. We are human beings, and we are social animals. We are in relationship. So, by definition, the quality and the intimacy and the vulnerability and all the good things and all the hard things in relationship impact our art-making,” Grant said.
When Reeves was asked about her comments and whether he had a response, the actor simply said, “What can I say? I'm the lucky man.” He also agreed with Grant's assessment that she is “an easy woman to love,” responding with an enthusiastic, “Yes.”
The duo first collaborated professionally on Reeves' 2011 book 'Ode to Happiness' before working together again on 'Shadows' in 2016. They later co-founded the publishing company X Artists' Books and made their public debut as a couple in 2019.

During the gala, Grant also reflected on the significance of the Museum of Contemporary Art in her career. She noted that MOCA hosted her first solo museum exhibition and expressed appreciation for the institution's leadership and commitment to contemporary artists.
The artist also recently spoke about balancing a romantic relationship with a creative partnership. According to Grant, one of the strengths of her relationship with Reeves is that they encourage each other while also respecting each other's independence.
“The good news about falling in love as an adult is that I had built my own career by the time that my relationship started. I feel very confident in the relationship on the red carpet. I feel very confident on it alone,” she said.
Grant also explained that she and Reeves often inspire one another creatively. “I think every person is such a problem solver. I see the other person as a source of inspiration. He's so creative, he's so kind. He works so hard,” she said.
At the same time, she emphasized the importance of giving one another room to work through creative challenges independently. “The thing I love about Keanu and our exchange is that we're pushing each other to build new roads. Seeing the other person's problem-solving is just, like, inspirational. It's like, ‘Oh, well, okay, that one was a cul-de-sac. How do I try this other thing?’” Grant said.
