LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Amid the ongoing discussions around Artificial Intelligence (AI) in the entertainment industry and many famous names speaking out about it, Kelly Clarkson has revealed her “controversial” take on the new technology.

During the September 30 episode of the 'Las Culturistas' podcast hosted by Bowen Yang and Matt Rogers, the 44-year-old singer hailed AI for doing “amazing things.”

Kelly Clarkson shares her thoughts on AI

“I love AI. Controversial, I don’t care,” she frankly said, before continuing, “Here’s the thing, I love AI. There are very amazing things with AI that I’m obsessed with.”

“But also, and I’m very into it artistically too, I have fun with it just like everybody else does. But when you see AI artists competing on a chart with humans, I have an issue. I think there should be a separate chart,” Clarkson explained.

Kelly Clarkson says AI artists should not compete with humans

The mother-of-two further stated that AI is “welcome to the table,” and that it’s “really cool and creative what we’re going to create with AI musically.”

The ‘Miss Independent’ hitmaker noted that AI can be helpful to those “who maybe can’t do certain things.” She, however, also said that AI creations should not be competing with human beings.

“It’s basically like having the Olympics and then you’re having robots compete with humans, well who’s going to throw it further? Oh, I wonder. So I’m down with it and I think it’s a very interesting thing and what we’re going to do with it is going to be fun, but I do not think they should be competing,” she added.

Kelly Clarkson says AI could help advance science

Apart from music, Clarkson also feels that AI can work wonders in the field of science.

As per her, AI’s “interesting and there’s so many amazing scientific things that are happening. But I think you have to be able to differentiate… We can’t lose humans. We can’t lose what that is. But there could be an appetite for both, is what I’m saying.”

Kelly Clarkson says her children are her focus right now

This came as Clarkson also spoke about her dating life on the same podcast.

When she was questioned if there’s any person romantically involved with her currently, she answered, “My kids right now, I think there’s a lot behind that, but I think that would rock their boat a little bit.”

The TV personality is the mother of a daughter and a son, River, 12, and Remington, 10, whom she shares with her late former husband, Brandon Blackstock.

“And honestly, this is not a bulls**t answer. I love my life right now. Like, it just got to where I am not exhausted at every point of it,” the Grammy winner shared with Yang and Rogers.
