SANTA BARBARA, CALIFORNIA: Less than two years after her high-profile split from Oscar winner Kevin Costner, Christine Baumgartner has married Josh Connor — a man who was once a friend and neighbor of the former couple.
The wedding took place on Saturday, October 18, at Santa Ynez Ranch in Santa Barbara, California. The ceremony was intimate, with around 100 close friends and relatives in attendance. Baumgartner wore a gown by Mira Zwillinger for the vows before changing into a strapless white satin dress by Lihi Hod for the reception.

A guest told People that the wedding ceremony was “magical.” They added, “The setting was gorgeous, but what made it special was the intimacy of it all. This wasn’t a big production. It was authentic, heartfelt, and so very them. Everyone there felt like they were witnessing something really precious."

A close friend added that the couple is most looking forward to “building an authentic, joy-filled life together,” saying, “They are embracing the serenity of this new start — focusing on the ordinary moments that truly count."
Christine Baumgartner and Josh Connor’s engagement followed her split from Kevin Costner
Christine Baumgartner and Josh Connor got engaged on a Santa Barbara beach on January 26, 2025, following her divorce from Kevin Costner. Baumgartner filed for divorce in May 2023 after 19 years of marriage; the couple shares three children.
The two were first spotted together in July 2023, and their relationship was confirmed in January 2024. A source told Us Weekly that Connor was Baumgartner’s “rock” during the divorce and that she is “beyond happy” to be in a loving relationship after staying in a “tough marriage” for her children’s sake. The source added that since Costner has also moved on, Baumgartner feels she has no reason to complain, saying, “If Kevin has a problem with that, that’s on him."
Inside Kevin Costner and Christine Baumgartner’s contentious divorce and settlement
The end of Kevin Costner and Christine Baumgartner’s marriage involved months of legal wrangling over finances governed by their prenuptial agreement. Baumgartner ultimately received $63,209 per month in child support — significantly less than the $165,000 she initially requested.

During court hearings, she argued that her children’s “rich lifestyle” was “in their DNA,” but the judge upheld the prenup and dismissed her attempt to invalidate it. The final settlement included a lump-sum payment of $1.5 million and a year’s worth of mortgage payments on a new home, up to $1 million. Baumgartner was required to vacate Costner’s $145 million Carpinteria compound in July 2023.
Costner reportedly suspected “something was going on between Christine and Josh” during the marriage but admitted in court papers that he did “not know for a fact” whether she had been unfaithful.
The 'Yellowstone' actor called the divorce a “crushing moment” that “hurt,” but credited his seven children for keeping him strong, saying, “You just do it. You keep talking, you keep coaching the kids, you stay interested in what they’re interested in. I had to."
