SEIRRA VISTA, ARIZONA: The Arizona Police have initiated an investigation into the tragic shooting death of a 13-year-old boy who was inside a car with two other juveniles, possibly filming a TikTok video at the time of the incident. 

As per the Sierra Vista Police Department, the unfortunate demise of Khalil Robinson, occurred on April 4 when a firearm discharged while Robinson was with the two other boys in a parked vehicle.

What did Sierra Vista Police Department report?

Authorities are seeking assistance in uncovering the circumstances surrounding the tragic shooting of a 13-year-old boy in Sierra Vista on Thursday, April 4. 

The Sierra Vista Police Department reported receiving multiple reports of gunfire in the 200 block of Andrea Drive, as per People.

Upon arrival, officers were informed by Canyon Vista Medical Center that a gunshot victim had been brought to the facility. 

Upon investigation, police determined that three juveniles were inside a parked vehicle, potentially filming TikTok videos, when the firearm discharged, resulting in the death of Khalil Robinson. 

Scott Borgstadt, the department’s public information officer claimed, “It was possible they were making a TikTok video, but we haven't been able to confirm it yet.”

Borgstadt stated that one of the three boys is believed to be responsible for the shooting, although it remains uncertain whether it was accidental or intentional.

He refrained from disclosing the ages of the victims due to their status as juveniles.

Robinson's family transported him to Canyon Vista, from where he was later transferred to a Tucson hospital.

Authorities were notified that the teenager succumbed to his injuries just after 6 am on Friday.

GoFundMe campaign has been raised for Khalil Robinson's family

The teenager, who was poised to celebrate his birthday on April 15, tragically met his untimely end on April 5, due to the shooting incident. 

In support of the Robinson family, a GoFundMe page was established three days ago to assist them during this challenging period. 

The page states, "On behalf of the Robinson family during their time of need, HCPP has created this GoFundMe in an effort to help the family during this difficult time. Please share this link with your friends and family.." 

Notably, as of Tuesday, the fundraiser has gathered more than $4,000 out of its $15,000 objective through 73 donations.

Additionally, numerous contributors have extended their sympathies and blessings to the victim's family.
