SAN FRANCISCO, CALIFORNIA: Tragedy struck an upscale San Francisco neighborhood recently when 27-year-old tech worker Kimberly Wong was found dead in the Presidio Heights condo she shared with her boyfriend.

Police have deemed Wong's death a homicide and while no arrests have been made, all signs point to her live-in boyfriend as the key person of interest, as per Daily Mail.

Kimberly Wong's colleagues describe her as exceptionally smart

Wong’s body was discovered on the evening of last Thursday, November 30, around 7 pm after concerned neighbors called police for a welfare check.

First responders arrived to find Wong unresponsive and though they attempted life-saving procedures, the young woman was pronounced dead at the scene.

Wong was known around the building as an affable neighbor who loved playing piano, doing crossword puzzles, and enjoying word games in her free time. She worked as a product designer at the financial tech firm Plaid and previously held roles at Splunk and other startups after graduating from the University of Washington.

Those who worked closely with Wong have described her as exceptionally smart, positive, and energetic. “Somebody that young and so smart. It’s just, why?” lamented former co-worker Alberto Forero, who used to sit next to Wong and collaborate on software projects.

Forero shared a photo of himself kayaking with Wong during a company outing, describing the slain woman as full of life. “It’s so senseless,” he said while grieving the loss.

Neighbours recall loud intermittent arguments between Kimberly Wong and her boyfriend

While no official details about suspects have emerged, neighbors have indicated to the local press that Wong owned the condo, while her boyfriend moved into the home with her around two years ago.

San Francisco Domestic Violence Consortium executive director Beverly Upton called Wong’s passing a “tragedy” and voiced hopes for a swift arrest, given the suspicious timing and living situation.

Sources say Wong showed no outward signs of distress in recent weeks, though behind closed doors, neighbors reported hearing loud arguments between Wong and the unnamed boyfriend intermittently.

Police have remained tight-lipped about persons of interest but say they are following significant leads in what they classify as an obvious domestic violence homicide.

One of Wong’s neighbors, who wished to remain anonymous due to safety concerns, said, “Kim was the last person I would expect something like this to happen to.”
