LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Late-night host Jimmy Kimmel took aim at JD Vance after reports suggested that Iran might prefer him as a negotiator over figures linked to President Donald Trump.

The claim, denied by the White House as false propaganda, quickly became material for Kimmel’s monologue, where he mixed sharp humor with direct jabs at multiple political figures.

On the 'Jimmy Kimmel Live!' segment that aired on Wednesday, March 25, Kimmel mocked Jared Kushner and Trump's Special Envoy Steve Witkoff, making a bizarre comparison that raised eyebrows.

Jimmy Kimmel takes a dig at the Trump administration

Addressing the Iran negotiations report head-on, Kimmel openly questioned the situation while mocking Trump’s usual diplomatic circle, including Jared Kushner and Steve Witkoff.

“It’s unclear what, if any, actual conversations are happening with Iran, but one thing we do know is they won’t be happening with Jared Kushner,” Kimmel said, before adding a biting remark, calling him “aka Sheldon Cooper’s evil twin.”

He continued the ridicule, saying, “The Iranians have said they will not accept Jared Kushner or Trump’s Special Envoy to the Middle East, Steve Witkoff, as negotiators.”

Taking it further, he mocked Kushner’s background, joking that his “primary job experience before this was holding Ivanka’s purse,” and sarcastically adding, “It seems very unfriendly.”

Roasting Kushner further, Kimmel said, “You know, the Iranians have a nickname for Jared. They call him the sorrowful broomstick, which sounds better in Farsi.”

Kimmel then turned his focus to Vance, amplifying the absurdity of the report.

“Instead, the Iranian regime wants JD Vance to be the point person on talks,” he said, before delivering another punchline: “Which is funny. I mean, this is the first time anyone’s ever wanted to talk to JD Vance.”

He escalated the humor with a personal jab, adding, “Even his wife Usha was like, ‘Are you sure they said JD?’”

The sharpest moment came when Kimmel summed up the reported preference with a crude comparison: “Sources said that Iran sees JD Vance as a more acceptable diplomatic figure than Witkoff and Kushner in the same way a canker sore is more acceptable than herpes.”

He capped it off with another line, saying, “But do you know how much you have to suck for someone to demand you be replaced by JD Vance?”

White House calls report 'utterly false'

A report from CNN's anonymous source claimed that Iran had declined to participate in negotiations led by Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner, citing longstanding mistrust stemming from previous talks that broke down and were followed by military escalation.

According to reports, Tehran considers both figures unreliable based on past diplomatic outcomes.

Instead, Iranian officials are said to favor Vice President JD Vance as a more acceptable representative for any future engagement.

The White House reportedly pushed back against the claim, calling it “utterly false” and describing it as part of a coordinated effort to spread foreign propaganda and undermine the administration.

Despite that, the claim has continued to circulate, drawing attention not just from political observers but also from entertainment platforms like Kimmel’s show.
