Kimmel challenges Trump's cognitive test claims after president declares 'perfect' health
There aren't NEARLY enough people covering the myriad maladies plaguing trump, the way they covered Biden. Props to @atrupar for hammering it home, daily.

WASHINGTON, DC: Late-night comedian Jimmy Kimmel mocked President Donald Trump during the Tuesday, May 26, episode of 'Jimmy Kimmel Live', ridiculing the president for repeatedly boasting about his performance on cognitive tests.
Kimmel’s comments came shortly after Trump declared himself in “PERFECT” health following an annual physical and dental examination at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center. The White House described the visit as part of the president’s routine preventive medical care.
In a Truth Social post after the examination, Trump said, “Everything checked out PERFECTLY,” and thanked the medical staff involved in the evaluation.
Comedian mocks cognitive test claims
During his opening monologue, Kimmel replayed footage from Trump’s recent campaign rally in support of Representative Mike Lawler, where the president again highlighted his performance on cognitive screening exams.
Trump has frequently cited the Montreal Cognitive Assessment as proof of his mental sharpness amid ongoing public scrutiny over his fitness for office.
Kimmel mocked the president’s pride in completing the assessment, describing the test as extremely simple and joking that Trump was behaving like “mommy’s smartest little boy.”
The comedian claimed he had personally taken the same test and achieved a perfect score, arguing that the exam did not include the difficult mathematical problems Trump often suggests it contains.
“There’s no multiplication. There’s no division,” Kimmel said, accusing Trump of exaggerating the test’s complexity. “Even his lies are lies.”
'Dumocrats' insult turned back on Trump
Kimmel also responded to Trump’s recent use of the term “Dumocrats” to describe political opponents. The host joked that replacing a letter in the word “dementia” would create a new term:“dumentia”, in a swipe at Trump’s rhetoric and mental fitness claims.
The remarks reflected how late-night television continues to play a major role in shaping political commentary and satire around the 2026 election cycle.
Health scrutiny remains a central issue
Kimmel argued that Trump appeared increasingly defensive about questions surrounding his mental and physical condition because he had spent years attacking former President Joe Biden over concerns about cognitive decline.
The comedian also joked about Trump’s repeated medical visits, noting that the latest examination marked the president’s third in-person health checkup in just over a year.
Kimmel closed the segment with a comparison between taking Trump to medical appointments and tricking a dog into visiting a veterinarian, drawing laughter from the studio audience.
