SANDY SPRINGS, GEORGIA: The adult defendants received their sentences for their roles in the tragic and fatal beating of 2-year-old Fallon Fridley in December 2020.
A judge in the Atlanta vicinity delivered severe sentences for Kirstie Flood, a babysitter who inflicted fatal injuries upon a 2-year-old girl, and her boyfriend, Jeffrey Meyers, who failed to intervene.
To offer context, an investigation commenced on December 9th, 2020, into the death of a child at the address 507 Monterey Parkway, as per Law&Crime.
The investigation revealed that two-year-old Fallon Fridley suffered severe beatings and ultimately succumbed to extensive trauma.
Kirstie Flood and Jeffrey Meyers were arrested in connection with the tragic death of the child, according to Sandy Hill Police.
Law enforcement found evidence against Kirstie Flood
Following the arrest of the defendants, law enforcement discovered compelling evidence against babysitter Flood.
On the day of the fatal incident, Flood had searched on her phone inquiries such as, "What type of people enjoy abusing other people’s children," and, "What does it mean to have a sudden urge to beat a child that’s not yours.”
According to the arrest affidavit, Meyers was present and observed as Flood assaulted Fallon.
Flood attempted to attribute the injuries to a purported accidental fall from playground equipment, but the severity of the injuries suggested otherwise.
