Kourtney Kardashian opens up about emergency fetal surgery during pregnancy

Before Rocky’s birth, she revealed in September 2023 undergoing a emergency fetal surgery that saved her unborn child’s life. The announcement came just days after Blink-182 postponed several European tour dates due to what the band described as an “urgent family matter.”

Sharing the experience on Instagram, Kardashian expressed gratitude to the medical team and her family for their support during the ordeal. "I will be forever grateful to my incredible doctors for saving our baby's life," she wrote on Instagram.

She further said, "I am eternally grateful to my husband, who rushed to my side from tour to be with me in the hospital and take care of me afterwards, my rock. And to my mom, thank you for holding my hand through this."

Reflecting on the frightening experience, Kardashian acknowledged how the situation differed from her previous pregnancies. She continued, "As someone who has had three really easy pregnancies in the past, I wasn't prepared for the fear of rushing into urgent fetal surgery. I don't think anyone who hasn't been through a similar situation can begin to understand that feeling of fear."

She added, "I have a whole new understanding and respect for the mamas who have had to fight for their babies while pregnant." Concluding her message, she shared her relief and gratitude after the successful procedure.
