WASHINGTON, DC: Kyle Rittenhouse, known for the 2020 shootings during racial unrest in Wisconsin, has announced he will not vote for Donald Trump, citing Trump's perceived ineffectiveness in protecting gun rights.

Within 12 hours, 21-year-old Kyle Rittenhouse completely changed his stance, stating that he had multiple productive conversations with members of Trump's team and that his previous remarks were "ill-informed and unproductive."

According to Times Now, Rittenhouse has reaffirmed his support for Donald Trump, stating he is "100% behind him."

On Thursday, August 1, Kyle Rittenhouse surprised and angered Trump supporters—who had contributed hundreds of thousands of dollars for his legal fees—by endorsing 88-year-old former congressman Ron Paul for president.

Rittenhouse, the outreach director for Texas Gun Rights, expressed frustration with Donald Trump's lack of support for the Second Amendment in a video posted by the National Association of Gun Rights.

He argued that Trump's bad advisors made him uncompromising, and if Trump could not be uncompromising, he would not vote for him. Rittenhouse emphasized the importance of standing by principles.

He captioned the clip with 'You must stand by your principles,' which has since been deleted.

It appears that Rittenhouse was only able to adhere to his principles for a brief period before he seemed ready to compromise.

During this time, he received a barrage of vitriol and abuse from former admirers, while other influencers within the MAGA community publicly criticized him..

On August 3, Rittenhouse changed his stance and wrote, "Over the past 12 hours, I've had a series of productive conversations with members of the Trump's team and I am confident he will be the strong ally gun owners need to defend our Second Amendment rights."

He added, "My comments made last night were ill-informed and unproductive. I'm 100% behind Donald Trump and encourage every gun owner to join me in helping send him back to the White House."

Internet trolls Kyle Rittenhouse

Following Kyle Rittenhouse's reversal of his stance to endorse Donald Trump, many netizens began showing their support for the Texas Gun Rights outreach director.

A user mocked saying, "Bro didn’t even make it 12 hours lol."

Another added, "That was the wildest rollercoaster ride I've ever seen, and the funny thing is it didn't even last 12 hours hope you learned your lesson because you lost over 42,697 followers with that little announcement. Yikes."

A third commentator attacked Rittenhouse talking about his old video's caption, "You stand for absolutely nothing and have zero backbone LMFAOOOOO."

"Lost 100k followers and thought about it," one wrote with a laughing emoji.

Elong Musk's parody account trolled Rittenhouse, "LOL. Folded within 12 hours."

"Damage is done. You’re cooked," one commented.

Another added, "Folded faster than an ironing board. What a clown."

Some users, upon reflection, acknowledged that they had been too "hard" on Rittenhouse and advised him to continue his support for Trump.

A user who had previously criticized Rittenhouse has since revised their opinion of the 21-year-old, "I was harder on you than anyone - but I can't hold a grudge when a man apologizes. Just remember, when it was political poison to take your side, Trump and MAGA was there for you during your lowest point."

A person wrote, "Good. I’ve been very hard on you today, as harsh as can be, because you needed it. Stay with MAGA. That’s where you belong and you’ll continue to belong so long as you don’t say completely insane shit like you did yesterday."
