LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: A huge number of people gathered on the streets of Los Angeles after news broke about a US military strike that left Ayatollah Ali Khamenei dead. The atmosphere quickly turned into a public celebration, with crowds dancing and chanting.

It was not just casual dancing. Many participants performed Donald Trump's signature “YMCA.” The song played loudly as people sang along. Some demonstrators carried placards reading “We Stand with Trump,” while others waved posters featuring his photograph.

According to reports, the missile strike on Iran was described as a carefully planned move coordinated by Trump and Israeli officials. The attack was reportedly carried out on Saturday, February 28, as part of a broader strategic decision.

Public celebration follows news from Iran

A video shown by Fox News on Monday, March 2, showed a big group of people on the streets of Los Angeles. They were not protesting. They had gathered to celebrate. Many people held placards, waved flags, and shouted slogans.

The crowd came out soon after Trump and other officials announced that Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, had died. Some people wrapped the Iranian flag around their shoulders. Others carried the United States flag. Many held banners that said, “We Stand with Trump.”

One person raised a big poster with photos of Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to show support. People from the Iranian community in Los Angeles also came out after the early morning military strike on Saturday, February 28.

Reports said the attack left Khamenei and senior leaders dead at a secure location. More than 40 other top Iranian security and government officials were also reported dead.

Trump promises strong response after US troop deaths

President Donald Trump said on Sunday that the US will respond after three American service members died as tensions linked to Iran continue in the Middle East.

In a video message shared on Truth Social, he honored the fallen troops and called them brave patriots who gave their lives for the country. He said the nation stands together in grief and is praying for the recovery of those injured. He also shared his support with the families of the soldiers.

Trump spoke in a serious tone and warned that the situation may not end soon. He said more challenges could lie ahead as the mission continues. Meanwhile, security has been increased at the Capitol. Officials said this step is a precaution after recent US strikes on Iran. There is no confirmed threat, but safety measures are being strengthened as lawmakers return to work.
