Lara Trump pitches herself to perform at right-wing alternative Super Bowl halftime show

I’m taking questions from friends and …. Not friends from across the internet. This week I answer questions about what Eric Trump’s favorite meal is, how I celebrated my birthday, is it time to get rid of the Nobel Peace Prize, and the best way to recover from intense workouts.… pic.twitter.com/eAMhGAugOz

WASHINGTON, DC: Lara Trump, daughter-in-law of President Donald Trump, has offered to perform at an alternative Super Bowl halftime show hosted by Turning Point USA.
She pitched the idea on her podcast, 'The Right View with Lara Trump'. During a question-and-answer session on her podcast, she was asked who should perform at the TPUSA 2026 show. She mentioned country musician Chris Stapleton, her own name, and MAGA-affiliated rapper Tom MacDonald.
At 14:23 in the video, she added, "You know what, you can throw Lara Trump in there, who knows," while discussing TPUSA, Bad Bunny, and the Super Bowl halftime shows.

Lara, 43, shared her thoughts on the NFL’s Super Bowl and TPUSA’s upcoming 2026 halftime show. She said, "When Bad Bunny was announced as the Super Bowl halftime performer, I can tell you there are a lot of people who are not happy about it. And so Turning Point was like, 'You know what? We're gonna do our own thing. We'll have our own halftime show. We don't need Bad Bunny or any of these people."

When considering who she would like to see perform, she added, "Tom MacDonald, 100 percent. I think I talked about him the last time we did a Q&A episode...I said I'd like to perform on stage with him, do a little karaoke sesh, absolutely. I think he's awesome, I would love to see that happen."

In response, Tom MacDonald shared a video on his social media accounts, "Lara Trump thinks I'd be a good alternative to Bad Bunny and I should play the Turning Point USA halftime show for the Super Bowl," the Canadian rapper, known for his right-wing lyrics, said. "What do you guys think? Let me know. Let's make this happen."

If Lara Trump performs at Turning Point USA’s Super Bowl 2026 show, it won’t be her first musical outing. Last year, she released a song honoring firefighters, titled 'Hero'.
What to know about Turning Point USA’s alternative Super Bowl halftime show?
Turning Point USA, the conservative group co-founded by Charlie Kirk, will be putting on its own Super Bowl halftime show in February 2026. Called 'The All American Halftime Show', the performance is meant to offer an alternative to the official halftime show, which will feature Puerto Rican music star Bad Bunny on February 8 at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California.
Since his debut in 2016, Bunny has become a global sensation, though some NFL fans have not been thrilled with his selection. Turning Point USA plans to feature a lineup of musical acts for the show, but the performers have not yet been announced. "It’s true, Turning Point USA is thrilled to announce The All American Halftime Show," the organization wrote in an announcement on X (formely known as Twitter).
