LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Social media users have been sharing viral posts claiming that former NASCAR driver Danica Patrick donated $7 million to Turning Point USA (TPUSA) to help fund its “All-American Halftime Show,” announced as a conservative alternative to the official 2026 Super Bowl halftime performance headlined by Bad Bunny.

According to the posts, Patrick’s alleged donation was described as an effort to “take the wheel back from pop culture,” and she was reportedly set to appear live at the event. But is there any truth to the viral claim? Let’s find out.

Claim: Viral posts claim Danica Patrick gave $7 million to Turning Point USA

The rumor originated from an X (formerly Twitter) post shared on October 13, 2025, by user @nettermike, which alleged that Patrick donated $7 million to support the TPUSA-hosted Super Bowl “All-American Halftime Show.” The post featured an image of Patrick alongside the claim but did not include any official source or confirmation.

The claim quickly spread across social media, gaining traction among accounts that regularly post political and celebrity-related content. Some versions of the rumor even alleged that Patrick donated $5 million instead of $7 million.

The supposed donation was linked to Turning Point USA’s October 9, 2025, announcement that it would host an alternative halftime event following criticism of the NFL’s decision to feature Puerto Rican artist Bad Bunny as the Super Bowl performer.

The organization, founded by the late Charlie Kirk and now reportedly run by his wife, positioned the event as a patriotic counter to what it called “woke entertainment.”

Fact Check: False, no evidence supports the claim

No credible evidence was found that Patrick ever pledged or donated $7 million to TPUSA. Searches on Google and Yahoo yielded no news coverage or official statements from either Patrick or the organization confirming the donation.

Patrick’s verified social media accounts also contain no mention of any such contribution. Similarly, Turning Point USA has not issued any press release or post acknowledging a financial donation from the former racing star.

Patrick did, however, appear on the Charlie Kirk podcast on October 9, 2025, where she spoke about faith and cultural unity following the announcement of the alternative halftime show. A review of the podcast episode and its transcript revealed no discussion of a donation or pledge of any kind.

Given Patrick’s celebrity status and the size of the alleged donation, such a major contribution would have been widely reported by mainstream media if true. Yet, no credible outlets, including sports, entertainment, or political news organizations, have corroborated the claim.
