NEW YOEK CITY, NEW YORK: Laura Ingraham has renewed her demand that Donald Trump's administration complete its investigation into a deadly strike near an Iranian girls’ school and address the incident publicly.

Writing on X on Monday, March 9, Ingraham described the reported attack as a tragic episode of the war and said officials must confront the issue directly once the review is finished.

Laura Ingraham demands investigation into Iranian girls' school strike

In a post on X on Monday, March 9, Ingraham reiterated that the administration should not avoid addressing the allegations surrounding the strike.

“Re-upping what I said last week: Admin must wrap its investigation and address head-on. Horrible unintended tragedy of this war.”

Her latest message repeated concerns she had expressed days earlier after a report by 'The Wall Street Journal' indicated that US military investigators believed American forces were likely behind the February 28 strike.

At the time, Ingraham responded by saying the military will have to 'own-up' to it and publicly acknowledge the incident to provide a clear explanation of what happened.

“If true, this is horrific news and the US military will have to address this publicly,” she wrote, adding that even if a nearby military facility had been the intended target, US weapons are typically known for their high level of precision.

“Proximity of military compound obviously a factor, but our weapons also have pinpoint accuracy”, Ingraham had said.

President Trump, however, pushed back against suggestions that American forces carried out the strike when asked about the incident by reporters aboard Air Force One.

“No, in my opinion, based on what I’ve seen, that was done by Iran,” Trump said in response to a question about whether the US military was responsible for the attack.

Footage raises questions about the strike

New scrutiny emerged after The New York Times reported that a newly surfaced video appears to show a missile striking near Shajarah Tayyebeh elementary school in the southern Iranian town of Minab during the opening phase of the US–Israeli campaign known as Operation Epic Fury.

According to the report, the footage was first shared by Mehr News Agency and later verified by The Times.

The video reportedly shows a missile traveling toward a nearby naval installation before an explosion destroys the school building located next to it.

Iranian state media has claimed the strike killed 175 people, including many children. The Times noted that Tomahawk cruise missile systems are operated exclusively by the United States military.
