WASHINGTON, DC: The person who hit President Donald Trump with a boom mic during his interaction with reporters at the JBA on Friday, March 14, is reported to be NPR journalist Danielle Kurtzleben.

The revelation was made by far-right commentator Laura Loomer on the social media platform X on Sunday, March 16. Trump was answering a question on the ongoing conflict in Gaza when the incident took place.

The 78-year-old commander-in-chief was visibly annoyed when Kurtzleben accidentally smashed the fuzzy mic cover into his face as she was trying to maneuver the instrument attached to a long pole.

Sidestepping the question on Gaza, he quipped, "She just made television tonight. She just became a big story tonight."

However, the journalist was not made to face any major repercussions at that moment.

Revealing Danielle Kurtzleben to be possibly the first journalist in US history to slam the president with a microphone, Laura Loomer questioned whether the action was an accident or by design.

"I have identified the reporter who hit President Donald Trump in the face with a boom mic this week while he was speaking to the press on the tarmac," she wrote in her post on X.

"Her name is Danielle Kurtzleben @titonka. She is the newly appointed White House reporter for NPR and a massive Trump hater and LGBTQ advocate who once suggested during the 2024 campaign that Trump only spoke in Howell, Michigan, because it has ties to the KKK," she continued. "Did she hit President Trump in the face on purpose?" Loomer questioned.

In the following X thread, Loomer called out the journalist for having a "well documented history of being a massive Trump hater and advocate of Trans issues," adding that she had locked her X account since Loomer made her identity public.

Internet demands action against Danielle Kurtzleben

Netizens called for Danielle Kurtzleben to be banned from the White House press corps following the apparent mishap with the boom mic she was handling near President Trump. The following tweets demonstrate their takes.

"She should never be allowed to be near Trump again," wrote a user.

"Ban her from the press junket. She's not a real reporter anyway," shared another.

"Take away NPRs press credentials," expressed one user.

"I hope that Secret Service thoroughly investigated that boom mic that touched the President's face and mouth. Who knows what could've been on it," warned another.

"Remove for close presidential contact immediately," slammed an individual.

"She's the left's newest hero. The Luigi Mangione of the press corps," jibed another.

"Secret Service failed to keep this hater away from our President. This is not acceptable," noted one.

"She should have her press pass immediately revoked and possibly charges filed," echoed another.
