WASHINGTON, DC: Right-wing firebrand and self-described “feisty Jewess" Laura Loomer dropped a personal bombshell as she rang in the New Year, revealing that 2026 will be the year she gets married.

The 32-year-old investigative journalist and staunch Trump loyalist took to X (formerly Twitter) just after midnight on Thursday, January 1, to share the news as celebrations unfolded across the country.

Her announcement quickly gained traction online, with supporters and critics alike reacting to the personal update. While Loomer has long been outspoken about her political views, she has largely kept her private life out of the spotlight, making the post a rare glimpse into her personal world.

Trump accidentally reveals Laura Loomer’s engagement

Loomer’s engagement first became public under unexpected circumstances last month, when President Donald Trump revealed the news during a White House Christmas party. The moment caught both attendees and Loomer herself off guard.

During his remarks, the 79-year-old president appeared to let the news slip while acknowledging guests in attendance.

“We have a very beautiful young woman — very low-key, not controversial at all — Laura Loomer,” Trump said from the podium. “Where’s your boyfriend?”

He then added, “There’s another couple getting married,” before directly asking, “When are you getting married?”

A visibly stunned Loomer responded from the crowd, “We don’t know yet, we haven’t announced it! You’re the first person to announce it.” Trump laughed before turning to her fiancé and saying, “You’ve got a great woman.” He added, “People think she’s on the tough side. She’s not. She’s got a big heart. She just cares a lot about the country.”

Following the moment, Loomer took to social media to acknowledge the unexpected reveal.

“It is an even bigger honor that the President of the United States just scooped me on publicly announcing my own engagement to the world from the White House,” she wrote. “I’m very excited to be getting married, and I am thrilled that the greatest President ever approves of the greatest man in my life.”

The moment came shortly after Trump also announced the engagement of his son, Donald Trump Jr., to Florida socialite Bettina Anderson during the same White House event.

Who is Laura Loomer’s fiance?

Despite the public attention, Loomer has largely kept her fiancé out of the spotlight. In July, she briefly opened up about her relationship during an appearance on the 'PBD Podcast.'

“I don’t talk about my personal life that much, but I am currently — I guess this is the first time I’m really announcing this publicly — I am in a serious relationship,” she said.

She added that her partner is not involved in politics and that she prefers to keep him away from media scrutiny. “I met a really great guy, and I keep him away from the media because I don’t want him to be targeted,” she explained. “He’s not political. We met on an airplane, and we’ve been together for a while now.”

Her fiance made his first public appearance at the White House Christmas party, where he was seen wearing a blue suit and yellow tie, with his hair slicked back.

While Loomer has yet to reveal further details about the upcoming wedding, her New Year’s announcement made one thing clear: 2026 is shaping up to be a major milestone in her personal life.
