DENVER, COLORADO: Rep Lauren Boebert had a heated exchange with a Colorado Public Radio (CPR) reporter during an interview that covered crucial topics such as climate change and immigration.

CPR published the interview on its website on Monday, September 23, highlighting that the Colorado Republican was not in agreement with reporter Ryan Warner's "fact-checking" during their discussion, as per The Hill.

In response to Warner's questions, Boebert expressed her "extreme disappointment" in the reporter's perceived bias and later clashed with him over inquiries related to climate change and water issues.

During the interview, Ryan Warner asked about keeping the Inflation Reduction Act's name, considering it includes billions in tax credits for clean energy.

Boebert shot back, asking, "Are we having a debate or an interview? I’m just checking?" This led the reporter to clarify that, as a journalist, he aimed to present the facts, mentioning that inflation was easing.

"Oh, you’re going to fact-check me during the interview," the congresswoman replied. "That’s exactly right, and inflation is easing," Warner responded.

Mockingly referring to the difference of opinion as "adorable," Boebert urged Warner to visit a local grocery store and ask customers if they believed inflation was down when they were paying $7 or $10 for a dozen eggs.

Earlier, the two clashed over immigration when Boebert accused the reporter of bias regarding his question about her views on why former President Donald Trump "scuttled" the bipartisan border security bill in the Senate, which had been "proposed by one of the most conservative members of the Senate."

Warner was referring to the border deal that the Senate GOP blocked, despite Republican Sen James Lankford's involvement in its creation.

Trump urged the GOP senators to quash the bill to avoid giving a legislative victory to President Joe Biden, his former election opponent.

"It's very unfortunate that we are having this time together to communicate policy, and every one of your questions is so far skewed and is so partisan," Boebert responded to the reporter's inquiry about the 45th President's role in killing the bill.

The clash persisted as the conversation shifted to the topic of water.

Warner inquired how Boebert perceived the water needs as a congressional member, particularly regarding climate change.

"Wow. That’s certainly a reason I don’t listen to CPR news, and this is," the lawmaker remarked.

Boebert's reaction to the question seemed to stem from the mention of climate change, prompting Warner to clarify that he was not making a partisan statement but simply referring to rising temperatures.

However, Boebert interrupted Warner, dismissing his clarification, and asserted that most of Colorado's water originates from the western slope of the Continental Divide, despite 90% of the state's population residing to the east.

The Republican, currently representing Colorado's 3rd Congressional District, switched to the 4th District for her reelection bid in November.

Internet slams Lauren Boebert for clashing with a reporter during an interview

Netizens criticized Lauren Boebert's attitude during her interview with Ryan Warner, with some asserting that her aggressive demeanor was an attempt to mask her ignorance.

"Totally classless," a user wrote.

"Well, if Boebert didn't have a proven record of lying, perhaps everything she said wouldn't have to be fact-checked," another opined.

"The usual MAGA response," added a third user.

"She's awful. Yet the idiots in her new district are going to keep her in Congress. It's unbelievable," someone else said.

"She’s insufferable. She tries to diffuse her ignorance with aggression, but isn’t fooling most people," read a response.

"What a shocker! A pot-stirring, opportunistic politician doesn’t want to be fact-checked," an individual wrote.

"Easy solution to your problem, Lauren. Just don’t lie. I know it’s hard, especially for you. But why not give it a try?" another asked.

"She is so out of her element," one user remarked.
