Lauren Boebert slammed for using campaign funds to see rumored BF Kid Rock at Arlington concert
ARLINGTON, TEXAS: Colorado Rep Lauren Boebert is under fire after Federal Election Committee (FEC) records revealed campaign payments tied to her appearance at Kid Rock’s May 16 Rock N Rodeo event at AT&T Stadium.
The outing came during the Professional Bull Riding Championship World Finals, and three days later, Boebert’s campaign reported more than $3,300 in hotel and ticket expenses connected to the Arlington trip. The timing has raised eyebrows because Kid Rock, 54, has been rumored to be dating the 38-year-old congresswoman since early this year.

Lauren Boebert faces tough questions about campaign spending tied to Kid Rock concert
FEC data shows Boebert’s campaign spent $2,455.83 at “Live by Loews,” a hotel in Arlington, and $925 on “Event Tickets” at AT&T Stadium shortly after the event, costs critics argue have no clear campaign purpose.
Given that the Federal Election Campaign Act strictly forbids using campaign funds for personal use, observers immediately questioned why attending a music-rodeo hybrid headlined by her rumored boyfriend would qualify as campaign activity.
Democrats seize on the controversy as Lauren Boebert shrugs off dating rumors
Eileen Laubacher, a Democrat challenging Boebert in Colorado’s 4th District, told the Daily Mail, “Americans are tired of the circus they’re seeing from Washington, with politicians spending more time focusing on flying around going to concerts than passing solutions to lower costs.”
Another Democratic challenger, Trisha Calvarese, added that the spending was “even more proof she needs a new job.”
Boebert and Kid Rock, real name Robert James Ritchie, first sparked dating speculation after being spotted getting into a cab together at 2.30 am following a February 11 Turning Point USA party celebrating President Donald Trump’s second inauguration.

One month later, Kid Rock split from his fiancee of seven years, Audrey Berry, fueling even more chatter about the pair’s closeness. When TMZ asked Boebert in February if she was dating the rocker, she dodged, joking, “Y’all with all your stories, Mom won’t stop asking for concert tickets, so, that’s the problem I’m facing now.”
Controversies follow the Colorado firebrand
This isn’t the first time Boebert’s personal life has collided with her political responsibilities.
She filed for divorce from her husband of 18 years, Jayson Boebert, in May 2023. Three months later, she infamously made headlines for being ejected from a Denver performance of the 'Beetlejuice' musical after being caught fondling her then-boyfriend Quinn Gallagher on camera. Boebert was later linked to using campaign funds at Gallagher’s Aspen bar as well.
Her behavior has irritated conservatives, too. Following the 'Beetlejuice' fiasco, GOP pundits Meghan McCain, Ann Coulter, and Erick Erickson blasted her as a “hypocrite,” “bimbo,” and “trashy.”
Kid Rock keeps quiet as speculation swirls
Kid Rock, who famously married Pamela Anderson briefly in the mid-2000s, has stayed silent about the dating rumors.
He has remained active in MAGA circles, appearing in the Oval Office in March to watch Trump sign an order on ticket scalpers and pitching himself on FOX News in October as the performer for Trump’s planned $350 million ballroom’s inaugural concert.
