WASHINGTON, DC: White House spiritual advisor Paula White on Wednesday, April 1, compared President Donald Trump to Jesus Christ, telling him that "no one has paid the price like you have paid the price."

During an Easter lunch, Paula White told Trump that his experience of being "betrayed" and "falsely accused" follows the same pattern as the story of the Lord.

The event took place in the East Room of the White House, where Paula White spoke to a group of supporters and religious leaders.

She used the story of the Passion of Christ to describe the president's current situation, claiming that his hardships were a form of sacrifice.

White spoke directly to the president, saying, "Jesus taught us so many lessons through his death, burial, and resurrection. He showed us great leadership, great transformation requires great sacrifice. And Mr president, no one has paid the price, like you have paid the price."

White continued by linking the president's legal indictments and public scrutiny to the biblical narrative.

She told him, "It almost cost you your life. You were betrayed. And arrested. And falsely accused. It's a familiar pattern that our Lord and Saviour showed us."

The pastor then used the theme of Easter to suggest that the president would overcome his current obstacles.

She told the crowd that just as the story of Jesus did not end with his death, the president's story would not end with his legal troubles.

White stated, "But it didn't end there for him, and it didn't end there for you. God always had a plan. On the 3rd day, he rose, he defeated evil, he conquered death, hell on the grave."

She told the president that he has already begun to "rise up" because of this divine connection.

"And because he rose, we all know that we can rise. And sir, because of his resurrection, you rose up. Because he was victorious, you were victorious," she added.

Paula White prays for Trump’s continued success

White, who has been a long-time spiritual advisor to the president, also spoke about how he came to hold his office.

She told the president and the guests that he was in his position "because of God and because of you."

This reinforced her long-standing claim that the president was chosen by a higher power to lead the country.

She ended her remarks with a prayer for the president’s future, telling him that he would be successful in all his upcoming efforts. "And I believe that the Lord said to tell you this, because of his victory, you will be victorious in all you put your hands to," she said.
