NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Leo Terrell, a civil rights attorney and alumnus of the University of California-Los Angeles (UCLA), criticized his alma mater for its response to anti-Israel turmoil on campus.

He argued that any other presidential administration, except for Joe Biden's, would have appropriately protected Jewish students under Title VI.

Allegedly, Columbia University protestors used metal picnic tables, wooden chairs, trash can lids, and planters to the doors and secured them together using zip ties, creating a barricade against the police.

In an interview on 'Life, Liberty & Levin', Terrell emphasized, "First of all, let me be very clear: Let's not use the First Amendment to describe the criminal anti-Semitic conduct that happened at UCLA, a school that I attended; law school."

Terrell obtained his juris doctor degree from UCLA's law school and completed his undergraduate studies at California State University-Dominguez Hills.

Terrell also criticized the Biden administration for its lack of action against the protests, pointing out that previous administrations had utilized federal laws to disband unlawful or hazardous demonstrations.

"There is enough federal law and protection that is not being used by the Biden administration. Why? Because they are playing politics," Terrell remarked. He previously suggested that Biden and other politicians are apprehensive about upsetting Democratic voters in the key swing state Michigan during an election year due to its substantial Arab population.

Terrell specifically referenced Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, which prohibits discrimination based on race, color, creed, or national origin and ensures equal access to government services.

"I'm old enough to remember when Black kids were protected by the federal government in the 50s and 60s. Joe Biden has abandoned Jewish Americans throughout this country," he said.

He added, saying, "Jewish Americans deserve the same protection as any American citizen in this country. But he's playing Michigan politics. How dare they allow these criminals to dominate these universities and then be released on the street?"

Terrell pointed out that both President Biden and members of his cabinet possess the authority to protect Jewish students by bringing charges against demonstrators under federal statutes.

Additionally, he suggested that the Department of Education could withhold funding from colleges that fail to uphold the law or ensure equal access for all students.

"Cut off every nickel and dime of federal taxpayer dollars to these Ivy League schools and colleges that promote Hamas and the Palestinians over there. Where is the FBI investigation? Where is Merrick Garland? Where is the power of the federal government? Where are the federal marshals to escort Jewish American kids to school?" he asked.

"The federal government and Joe Biden have given these terrorists the green light to attack, harm, or damage and deny Jewish Americans to exist in this country. It is embarrassing and shameful."

Internet rallies behind Terrell in support  of his statements

Social media showed strong support for Terrell after his comments, with users rallying behind him.

One viewer said, "Sponsored by Brute and Tupperware."

Another viewer said, "Those Home Depot lids are great."

One viewer noted, "They look ready for a snowball fight."

A follower observed, "Universities will up the tuition, real students need to sue their university. The left has set the mood of unprincipled campus ideas."

One comment read, "Is this for real? Trash cans and the tops of storage containers? One picture sums up the state of our future military and defense under the Democrats."

Another comment read, "Ugh, politics on campus are such a mess. Seems like no one can have a civil debate anymore without it turning into a dumpster fire."

"International Embarrassment….Along with all of the others !!" explained one person.
