Lindsey Graham extends prayers for family during difficult time

Senator Lindsey Graham expressed his deep respect for Gabbard's leadership, focusing heavily on the personal sacrifices made by the intelligence chief and her family.

Graham underscored the demanding nature of the position and validated her decision to prioritize her husband's well-being.

"I very much appreciate Tulsi Gabbard’s many years of service to our nation, especially as President Trump’s Director of National Intelligence. I completely understand that she needs to be with her family as her husband is going through a very difficult time. I will be praying for good outcomes," Graham stated.

Rand Paul praises Gabbard's fight against the 'deep state'

Senator Rand Paul also released statements across his social media accounts on X, highlighting Gabbard's contributions to government accountability and transparency during her tenure at the Office of the Director of National Intelligence.

"Heartbreaking to hear why Tulsi Gabbard must step aside as DNI. Kelley and I pray for her and Abraham. President Trump selected her to reform the deep state that tried to take him down," Paul wrote.

"She battled them every day, exposing their dirty tricks and getting rid of bad actors. She was one of the few who was actually helpful to my investigation into the COVID cover-up. We need more like her," he added.

Trump confirms Gabbard's departure and names acting DNI

The wave of support followed an official announcement from President Donald Trump, who confirmed Gabbard's resignation while commending her performance.

Trump shared the news of her departure, emphasizing that family health was the sole reason behind her stepping away from public service.

"Unfortunately, after having done a great job, Tulsi Gabbard will be leaving the Administration on June 30th. Her wonderful husband, Abraham, has been recently diagnosed with a rare form of bone cancer, and she, rightfully, wants to be with him, bringing him back to good health as they currently fight a tough battle together. I have no doubt he will soon be better than ever," Trump stated

Trump further extended his gratitude for her commitment to national security and named her temporary successor.

"Tulsi has done an incredible job, and we will miss her. Her highly respected Principal Deputy Director of National Intelligence, Aaron Lukas, will serve as Acting Director of National Intelligence," the president added.
