NEW ORLEANS, LOUISIANA: President Donald Trump made history by being the first sitting US president to attend the Super Bowl and taking in the exciting atmosphere at Caesars Superdome in New Orleans, on Sunday, February 9.

Amid the flurry of activity at Caesars Superdome, Trump was seen interacting with supporters by shaking hands and extending greetings like "Are you happy?" and "How ya doing? Good luck," as interpreted by a lip reader, per The Mirror.

Donald Trump's shocking Super Bowl prediction

President Donald Trump used his Super Bowl attendance to highlight some of his goals and make predictions about the country as well as the championship game as he delivered the nation a report on his first weeks in office on Sunday.

In an interview recorded at Trump's Mar-a-Lago club in Palm Beach, Florida, with Fox News top political anchor Bret Baier, the president selected the Kansas City Chiefs to defeat the Philadelphia Eagles.

He also stated that he anticipates the improvements he made since assuming the White House three weeks ago to continue, per USA Today.

During a pre-game pre-recorded interview with Baier on Fox News, Trump firmly supported the Kansas City Chiefs, by saying, "I think they'll pull it off. Great team, great coach."

Trump told Fox News that although he believes both Super Bowl teams are excellent, he chose the Kansas City Chiefs to defeat the Philadelphia Eagles due to quarterback Patrick Mahomes.

"I’m a big fan of both teams. They’re sort of different," Trump admitted to Bret Baier. Trump called the Eagles' Saquon Barkley "one of the greatest running backs."

Trump claimed to detest having to choose a winner. The president stated that he had to select Kansas City after witnessing Mahomes win as many games as he played—but he did not name Mahomes.

"The quarterback really knows how to win. He’s a great, great quarterback," Trump said.

In a daring move that hinted at his future intentions, Trump also stated that he had directed Elon Musk, who leads the new Department of Government Efficiency, to examine the Department of Education and the military "very soon."

Tulsi Gabbard, who was spotted wearing an Eagles cap and was suggested by Trump to be the director of national intelligence, was silent about her confirmation but was supportive of running back Saquon Barkley.

Susie Wiles, White House Chief of Staff, was asked about the crowd's response to Trump. Her succinct response, accompanied by a smile, was "Good, right?", suggesting a positive reaction amid the Super Bowl extravaganza.

Donald Trump's arrival at 2025 Super Bowl caused a stir among fans

The presence of Donald Trump created a buzz among NFL fans, but not everyone noticed him immediately because the Philadelphia Eagles' pregame festivities were the main focus of the stadium screens.

However, the 2024 presidential candidate stole the show at this legendary sporting event by fusing political messaging with football passion.

Trump was applauded heartily when he appeared briefly on the jumbotron as he stood and saluted during the playing of the National Anthem.

Jon Batiste performed a jazzy version of 'The Star-Spangled Banner' while playing the piano. Trump was reportedly seated in Caesars Superdome's third deck, close to the O. His daughter Ivanka stood beside him for the anthem.
