NEW ORLEANS, LOUISIANA: Patrick Mahomes certainly knows how to command attention—both on and off the field. The Kansas City Chiefs quarterback turned heads when he arrived at Caesars Superdome for Super Bowl LIX, sporting an all-green ensemble that was strikingly close to the colors of his opponent, the Philadelphia Eagles.

Mahomes, known for his red-and-gold Chiefs aesthetic, surprised fans when he rocked a green plaid blazer and matching trousers.

The Super Bowl was a chance for Mahomes and the Chiefs to secure a historic third consecutive title, and with the stakes at an all-time high, every move counts. Whether the green suit was an intentional jab at the Eagles or just a playful fashion statement, it certainly left a lasting impression before the game even began.

Meanwhile, Mahomes' wife, Brittany Mahomes, chose a much more neutral tone for the big day, donning a sleek all-white look. She sported a denim corset, cropped jacket, and custom jeans as she arrived with their two older children, Sterling, 3, and Patrick 'Bronze', 2. Their newborn daughter, Golden Raye, stayed in the family’s private suite.

Patrick Mahomes' bold green suit sparks mockery

Patrick Mahomes' bold choice of green ensemble quickly sparked reactions across social media, with many trolling the QB for the unconventional fashion statement.

“Patrick Mahomes showing up in Eagles green is diabolical,” Barstool Sports’ Bussin’ With The Boys posted on X.

CBS Sports’ John Breech called it “the ultimate power move.” Dan Katz from Barstool Sports also weighed in, calling Mahomes "cocky," but admitting, "Have to respect it."

Sports commentator Nick Wright joked, “Mahomes' outfit choice is the behavior of a true psychopath, and I fully support it."

While some fans saw Mahomes' green suit as a harmless fashion flex, others saw it as a calculated psychological play to get inside the Eagles’ heads before the game even started.

Mahomes, who thrives under pressure, is no stranger to bold moves, but this fashion choice had many stating that it backfired.

"This will backfire big time on him if he loses," said a netizen.

Another claimed that it was absurd, "This is absurd. Chiefs by 14."

One commentator mocked, "Matches the color of the ground he’s about to be repeatedly slammed into."

"He put his bets in the eagles, that’s why they lost," an X user laughed.

A person wrote, "He went crazy for the eagles today tbh."

Someone else chimed in, "Give him props for picking the winner."
