The 37-year-old rapper performed at the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans, where the Philadelphia Eagles took on the Kansas City Chiefs. The game also made headlines for becoming the first Super Bowl to have a sitting president of the United States, Donald Trump, in attendance.

Kendrick Lamar was introduced to the crowd on Sunday by Hollywood veteran Samuel L Jackson, 76, dressed up as 'Uncle Sam'. Jackson sported a blue coat and patriotic tophat, donning a red, white, and blue ensemble.

Lamar went on to perform a medley of his hit songs before being joined on stage by SZA.

A Pulitzer Prize winner, Lamar was dressed in a black shirt and blue jeans, along with a blue and white jacket and a backward hat. While SZA rocked an all-red outfit, the backup dancers were dressed in the colors of the American flag, red, white, and blue.

Fresh off five Grammy wins this year, Lamar started his performance on top of a car. He went on to take a swipe at his hip-hop rival Drake, 38, as he belted out the popular diss track 'Not Like Us'.

While the original lyrics of the song were extremely derogatory toward Drake, Lamar censored some words during his Sunday performance.
