Liz Cheney sparks debate as she slams Donald Trump, declares him ‘not fit for office’

WASHINGTON, DC: Former representative from Wyoming, Liz Cheney, publicly criticized Donald Trump on Sunday, June 30, and provided evidence for why the former president is "not fit for office", according to Raw Story.
Cheney made her remarks in response to a report that Trump had posted a photo declaring her "guilty of treason", and suggesting that she ought to face charges in "televised military tribunals".

The reposted image said, "Elizabeth Lynne Cheney is guilty of treason. Retruth if you want televised military tribunals."
Notably, on his own social media platform, Truth Social, Trump 'ReTruthed' the image, which prompted Cheney to comment on the post.
In her reply, Cheney addressed Trump by his first name. She said, "Donald - this is the type of thing that demonstrates yet again that you are not a stable adult--and are not fit for office."

Notably, Cheney was one of the 10 House Republicans who voted to impeach Trump on a charge of inciting an insurrection after a mob of his supporters stormed the Capitol on January 6, 2021.
