MARICOPA COUNTY, ARIZONA: Lori Vallow was back in an Arizona courtroom on Wednesday, February 21, for a scheduling conference as she stands charged with conspiracy to commit murder in connection to the death of Charles Vallow, her ex-husband, as per Fox 10.

The "doomsday mom" is accused of planning to kill Charles with her brother, Alex Cox, in July 2019. Lori has also been charged with conspiring to kill her niece's husband, Brandon Boudreaux.

In her court appearance on Wednesday, Lori, who was recently extradited to Arizona from Idaho, was seen wearing a considerable amount of makeup. The former hairdresser had her blond hair curled and she greeted the judge with a big smile.

During a hearing referred to by the judge as a "complex case scheduling," the mother, who was sentenced to life without parole in July 2023 after being found guilty of killing her two children, Tylee Ryan, 16, and Joshua "JJ" Vallow, 7, revealed her name and date of birth while wearing handcuffs and an orange prison jumpsuit.

The next pretrial hearing for Lori was set for April 24 by the judge, as she renounced her right to appear on that day by leaning down and whispering something to her lawyer. Her trial is scheduled to start on August 1.

Lori's plans of murdering her relatives allegedly developed as she grew obsessed with the impending apocalypse during her relationship with doomsday author Chad Daybell, whom she married in late 2019.

The bodies of Tylee and JJ were recovered from Chad's property in June 2020. He is scheduled to go on trial in April for their murders.

A grand jury in 2021 indicted Lori in relation to Charles' death at the hands of her brother, Cox, who shot and killed him in her Arizona home.

However, Cox, who died in December 2019, maintained that he killed Charles in self-defense, but the prosecution believes the killing was premeditated since the brother and sister duo had both fallen victim to apocalyptic views, as per Daily Mail

The family allegedly exploited religious fanaticism as a pretext to carry out the murders, according to the prosecution. In February 2022, Lori was further accused of trying to kill her niece's husband, Boudreaux, in October 2019.

He was apparently shot from a moving automobile but escaped unharmed. At the time, Boudreaux allegedly told detectives he thought Cox was driving the vehicle. It is said that Cox and Lori planned to assassinate Boudreaux and Charles because they were raising concerns about the rising religious extremism.

During Lori's previous trial, her former friend Melanie Gibb testified that the "doomsday mom" believed that Tylee and JJ had been taken over by evil spirits and turned into "zombies."

Internet slams Lori Vallow for wearing makeup and flaunting smile during the scheduling conference

A Facebook user uploaded Lori's picture in which she can be seen flaunting blushed cheeks and a slight smile, leading netizens to comment on how she lacks remorse even after being found guilty of murder.

One wrote, "Absolutely no remorse", while another remarked, "This EVIL needs a sheet."

A person stated, "She still looks smug," and someone else noted, "in her mind she still thinks that she's going to beat the system and be released. She truly believes that!"

"Over doing it on the blush," stated an individual. One more question, "Is it just me, or does she look happy?"

Another person mentioned, "She never misses a opportunity to come eye to eye with a camera. I guess that's the reason for the line of prison invention of makeup and curly Qs. Amazing how she cares more about her appearance than what's she is being charged for. Side note: it doesn't help her at all."
