WASHINGTON, DC: Donald Trump's former lawyer Michael Cohen claimed that the ex-POTUS' constant criticism of those overseeing his charges is a calculated move to incite his supporters to attack them, as per RadarOnline.

This comes as Trump repeatedly attacked Judge Juan Merchan as well as his daughter on social media ahead of the hush money trial, scheduled to commence on April 15.

On Friday, March 29, prosecutors in the Manhattan district attorney’s office suggested that Trump had violated the limited gag order, put on him by attacking Judge Merchan's daughter in a Truth Social post and should face sanctions under judiciary law for future violations.

Previously, Trump spent months attacking Judge Arthur Engoron, who oversaw his New York civil fraud case.

Michael Cohen says Donald Trump launches attack on those against him to 'fuel up his supporters'

In an interview with MSNBC's Joy Reid, Cohen noted, "I have been treated very unfairly by this judge. Now, this judge is of Mexican heritage. I’m building a wall, ok? … The Trump-hating prosecutor in the case, his wife, and family despise me much more than he does. And he decides, I think he’s about a 10. They’re about a 15 on a scale of 10."

He added, "Then you have deranged Jack Smith, who's a Trump hater and represents all the Trump haters … You have a radical left Attorney General like Letitia James, who’s a disgrace to our country. The judges on these cases, they’re all Trump haters."

Subsequently, Reid questioned, "What's his goal when he does that, Michael?" to which Cohen answered, "His goal is to fuel up his supporters … to fuel up his [supporters] for the sole purpose of getting them to act no differently and as stupidly as they did on January 6th."

"His goal is to get them to attack these individuals, these critics of him as often and as frequently as they possibly can, whether it’s going to be on social media, whether it’ll be through phone calls, whether it will be in person. I mean, that’s his goal. Intimidation and witness — it’s witness intimidation and it’s harassment," asserted the ex-Trump attorney.

Internet trolls Michael Cohen over his statement on Donald Trump attacking judges

One wrote, "Michael Cohen is a Loser and a liar," and another added, "Says the admitted liar and convicted felon. Yeah…let’s trust what he says…"

A person sarcastically asked, "Did this guy spend some time in jail for lying?" while someone else declared, "The man's brain has turned to pudding."

"Cohen is a liar, a BIG one. Find ONE (real) guy that knows the facts," said an individual.
