WASHINGTON, DC: On a recent episode of 'Mornings with Maria', Fox Business host Maria Bartiromo made startling allegations against the Biden-Harris administration, suggesting "they tried to even kill" former President Donald Trump.

According to Mediaite, her claims emerged during a discussion about the new superseding indictment against Trump, which addresses his alleged interference in the 2020 election.

Indictment against Trump adjusted to reflect Supreme Court ruling

The indictment, filed by Special Counsel Jack Smith, mirrors previous charges but has been adjusted to align with the Supreme Court’s decision in Trump v United States concerning presidential immunity.

Trump has responded vehemently on his Truth Social platform, denouncing the indictment as part of a broader campaign of "lawfare" and "witch hunts."

He accused Vice President Kamala Harris of engineering an attempt to “INTERFERE WITH THE ELECTION” in “an unprecedented abuse of the Criminal Justice System.”

Amidst the controversy, Bartiromo’s accusations took center stage. During her Fox Business show, she not only condemned the indictment but also made dramatic claims.

“We’ve got lawfare now to deal with — Special Counsel Jack Smith indicting former President Trump again this week in the dropped Jan 6 case,” Bartiromo said.

She noted that Trump was “facing the same four federal offenses” as in the previous indictment, but Smith had “removed arguments making allegations against Justice Department officials.”

Bartiromo then quoted Trump’s Truth Social posts, reading, “The indictment has all the problems of the old Indictment, and should be dismissed IMMEDIATELY,” and questioned Rep Tom Tiffany (R-WI) about what could be done to counteract what she described as “lawfare.”

Former President Donald Trump listens as his attorney Todd Blanche speaks during a press conference at 40 Wall Street after a pre-trial hearing on March 25, 2024 in New York City. Judge Juan Merchan scheduled Trump's criminal trial to begin on April 15, which would make it the first criminal prosecution of a former American president. Trump was charged with 34 counts of falsifying business records last year, which prosecutors say was an effort to hide a potential sex scandal, both before and after the 2016 election. Tiffany responded by emphasizing the perceived partisan nature of the legal challenges against Trump: “So they continue to hurl everything they can at the wall, whether it was the Fulton County Case, the New York City case, this Jack Smith case. And this is their last hurrah in trying to use lawfare to derail President Trump’s candidacy leading up into November.”

He added, “And I think that’s the key message that we need to deliver to the American people, that they are trying to deny someone their ability to run for president without interference by the party that is in power at this point.”

Bartiromo and Allies accuse democrats of extreme measures against Trump

Bartiromo's rhetoric escalated as she said, “They tried to imprison him, they tried to take him down, they tried to even kill him, they tried to bankrupt him, and they’re still trying.”

This was echoed by Washington Examiner political reporter Tiana Lowe Doescher, who remarked, “And they tried to take him off the ballot. I mean, that is literally disenfranchising half the voters that wanted him.”

Sen JD Vance (R-OH), Trump’s running mate, also used similar language to accuse Democrats of attempting extreme measures against Trump.

He said, “They couldn’t beat him politically, so they tried to bankrupt him. They failed at that, so they tried to impeach him. They failed at that, so they tried to put him in prison. And they even tried to kill him. But as sure, as sure as the American flag still waves in our beautiful sky, Donald Trump still stands ready to fight, ready to win, and ready to make America great again.”
