NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: The GOP-led House Administration Subcommittee on Oversight submitted a report on March 11 to undermine claims by Cassidy Hutchinson, a former aide to Donald Trump, on the events of January 6, 2021, the New York Post reported.

According to the 81-page report, lawmakers on the Select Committee to Investigate the January 6 attack on the Capitol “were laser-focused on their effort to promote their pre-determined narrative.” Evidence was allegedly cherry-picked, and transcripts from key witnesses that disprove Hutchinson were not released in full.

Testifying to the select committee, Hutchinson had said that she was told Trump had shouted, “I’m the f**king president! Take me up to the Capitol now!” during the riot before he tried to grab the steering wheel from the driver.

The findings of the GOP House Committee

The committee reports that Hutchinson's testimony was directly refuted by White House Deputy Chief of Staff for Operations Anthony Ornato, who she claimed was her source, as well as the Secret Service agent driving the former president's SUV.

“Ornato testified that the first time he had ever heard the story Hutchinson claims Ornato told her on January 6, was during Hutchinson’s public testimony,” read the report.

“The driver testified that he specifically refuted the version of events as recounted by Hutchinson,” it read further.

“The driver of the SUV testified that he ‘did not see him reach [redacted]. (President Trump) never grabbed the steering wheel. I didn’t see him, you know, lunge to try to get into the front seat at all,’” the report said.

Rep Barry Loudermilk shared in a following statement, "It is unfortunate the Select Committee succumbed to their political inclinations and chased false narratives instead of providing the important work of a genuine investigation. In my committee’s investigation, it is my objective to uncover the facts about January 6, without political bias or spin. My report today is just the beginning.”

Internet slams Marjorie Taylor Greene for her tweet on the report

Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene took to the social media platform to slam those associated with the select committee investigation. She wrote, "Liz Cheney and the other J6 members of Congress should be in trouble for lying to the American people. Cassidy Hutchinson lied under oath and belongs in jail. Fani Willis herself should be slapped with RICO charges."

"I demand for President Trump’s sham impeachment to be expunged and erased from history!" she added while sharing the Key Findings page of the report.

However, netizens were not convinced by the turn of events and trolled Greene as the following tweets demonstrate.

"You live in alternative reality. Trump is going to prison," wrote a user.

"You are too dumb to understand that Trump’s impeachment will never be expunged or erased from history," said another.

"Marjorie, I don’t think you realize how close you are to ending up in a court room yourself lol …it’s taken some time but that train is coming. And we are SO excited," quipped a third.

"That's the oversight committee so we know it's all lies," scolded a fourth.

"Funny that everyone's a liar after they speak on trump. you never say anything about anyone before that," commented a fifth.
