NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Rep Marjorie Taylor Greene recently spoke about the plight of Americans in the face of growing inflation on X (formerly Twitter) on Friday, March 15.

Though she blamed the administration under President Joe Biden for the situation, netizens disagreed with her stance and trolled both the Congresswoman and her endorsed candidate, former president Donald Trump, on the subject.

Rep Marjorie Taylor Greene blames Biden admin for inflation

Taking to the social media platform, the US Representative for Georgia wrote, "Inflation is a tax on ALL Americans, and Bidenflation is up 17.9% since Joe Biden took office."

"In Joe Biden’s America, Americans are spending over $11,400 more annually to buy the basics," Greene continued, before adding, "1/8 retirees are even planning to return to work due to soaring Bidenflation."

"It doesn’t have to be this way! Our government needs to start putting America First and stop sending Americans’ hard-earned tax dollars overseas to fund endless foreign wars!" exclaimed Green in the tweet.

Social media users brutally mocked and schooled Marjorie Taylor Greene for her remarks. "Oh look it's noted Professor of Economics Dr. Marjorie Taylor Greene!" a user said while mocking the Congresswoman.

"National debt is up 16.6% with Biden. Was 40+% under trump. Nice try though," wrote another.

"How is Trump going to fix it? With mean Tweets? 😂😂😂," one person said.

Another user dived into a lengthy explanatory rant, which read, "Inflation is not tax. You should look up the word tax. There is no such thing as Biden inflation inflation is global. However, President Biden and his administration have addressed it very well. He's reduced inflation the United States faster into a lower level than all developed countries."

"Americans are not spending $11,400 more a year on the basics. However, wages are outpacing inflation," the user continued, before adding, "And 15 million people that had no income under the last administration now have money to buy the basics because they have jobs.

"If retirees are returning to the workforce, which I don't believe your number, it's because Republicans are threatening to take away their Social Security and Medicare. We don't send the money overseas genius most of that money goes to US Defense contractors to produce weapons and provide training on weapon systems. Those are US jobs they add to the US economy stop lying to the American people," they added in the tweet.

"If MTG says it, you can trust that it's a lie," one user wrote while slamming the GOP leader.
