NASHVILLE, TENNESSEE: Former GOP Rep Marjorie Taylor Greene pushed back against Democratic attacks over the Jeffrey Epstein files during a podcast conversation with conservative commentator Tomi Lahren.

She argued that survivors themselves have publicly defended President Donald Trump.

Greene added that the effort to portray Trump as central to the Epstein scandal contradicts statements made by survivors and their attorney.

Marjorie Taylor Greene says survivors absolved Trump

“I have even said it since the president turned on me on this issue,” Greene said. “The Epstein victims themselves, they call themselves survivors, they have said over and over, they said it at the press conferences we did in Washington DC, they said President Trump did nothing wrong.”

She continued: “They said and their attorney said he was the only one that helped them. And that was released in the files.”

Greene also referenced a document release she described as showing Trump contacted authorities years ago.

“This most recent dump was President Trump called, I believe the FBI and reported that. So that is accurate,” she said.

Tomi said “if Democrats had some kind of a smoking gun on Trump, it would have been out a long time ago. They wouldn't have had to go to the links that they went to if they had some kind of smoking gun there”.

Greene added that what has puzzled her most is that, in her view, no direct allegation has come from the accusers themselves.

“No one implicated the president. The women have not implicated the president. Their attorney has not implicated the president, but the Democrats still want to continue to make him the master villain”, Greene said.

Greene also addressed her own strained relationship with Trump over calls to release the files.

“Now, where do I sit in that? For me, I have no loyalties anymore,” she said. “I’m strictly black and white, right and wrong, good versus evil.”

She expressed frustration over being labeled disloyal.

“I maintain that he treated me extremely poorly. It was wrong what he did to me, calling me a traitor for standing with what our campaign promise was and standing with women who were raped as teenagers and saying these files need to come out,” Greene said. “I’m not a traitor for that.”

She emphasized that she supported Trump’s agenda throughout his presidency.

“I stood and fought for him when every Republican in Washington turned their back,” she said.

“So I will maintain that I am very angry because I was treated very wrong by him and the Republican Party”, Greene added.
