WASHINGTON, DC: Far-right Rep Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga) found herself at the center of a heated exchange on Tuesday, June 25, during an appearance on the Australian Broadcasting Corporation’s '7.30' show.

What was supposed to be a discussion about WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange’s release quickly turned contentious when the conversation shifted to former President Donald Trump and the 2024 election.

Marjorie Taylor Greene melts down on Australian TV

Greene, known for her outspoken nature and conspiracy theories, grew visibly irate as anchor Sarah Ferguson pressed her on whether she would accept the results if President Joe Biden wins reelection. If she was “a serious interviewer?” Greene snapped, attempting to derail Ferguson’s line of questioning. The tension escalated as Ferguson persisted, culminating in the pointed question, “If it doesn’t go your way, if Biden wins, will you accept the result?”

“Again, what does this have to do with Julian Assange? Seriously, that’s what we’re supposed to be talking about,” Greene fired back. “What network is that? What is this? ABC in Australia? Is she getting her marching orders from the Democrat Party? I mean, like, is this what you decided to come up with today?”

Ferguson maintained her composure, explaining that as "a prominent figure in US politics," Greene’s stance on the upcoming election is of global interest. “But I understand that we’ve reached the end of the questions that you want to answer,” Ferguson said, wrapping up the interview as Greene removed her mic in frustration.

Following the clash, Greene took to X, formerly known as Twitter, expressing her disdain for the Australian press. She labeled them “mindless robots muttering the same stupid talking points from their government masters. Just like ours,” while also noting her admiration for the Australian people.

A third claimed, "Marge is unhinged. What an embarrassment in front of the world stage."

"What an utter embarrassment!!" read a tweet.

"Why does Australia even care what a Congress member from the Q Trump cult thinks? Why do people keep giving this clown air time?" questioned a user.
