NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene took to social media platform X (formerly Twitter) to insinuate Speaker Mike Johnson is in cahoots with Democrats for allowing the second minibus spending bill, which funds government offices including the Department of Justice, to pass through on Monday, March 26.

Greene had strongly opposed the bill on the floor of the House and even filed a motion to remove Johnson from the chair of the speaker on March 22, after failing to stall it. Had her efforts succeeded, the government would have risked a midnight shutdown the following day.

"Here’s something to think about," wrote the US Representative of Georgia on her personal X account.

"Just days before President Trump faced a record-breaking $400+ MILLION bond to appeal an unjust political persecution, Speaker Johnson fully funded Joe Biden’s DOJ who is trying to throw President Trump in jail for the rest of his life."

"Why is the Republican speaker doing the bidding of the communist Democrats?" she wondered, suggesting that the speaker was to blame for the continued prosecution of the likely Republican nominee.

Internet reacts to Marjorie Taylor Greene's post

Netizens trolled Greene over her comments on X, as the following tweets demonstrate.

"Lmao “Speaker Johnson funded the DOJ” …you mean the government. Many of your constituents rely on the government remaining open. You don’t care about that though, you just want attention," wrote a user.

"Can you stop obsessing about the former president and focus on the American people? Go pass a law or something," stated another.

A third user elaborated, "Here's something to think about: The budget was due October 1st of last year, but MAGA politicians kept obstructing all efforts to pass it."

"It is the job of Congress to pass a budget and keep the government running. Marjorie Taylor Green does not, and never has, believed in doing the job she is paid $174,000 with amazing benefits and a paid staff to do. Instead she wastes time trying to impeach every person in government, attempts to defund salaries, attempts to defund the Department of Education, and never complains that the least productive House in a century keeps going on vacation instead of accomplishing anything at all."

"Every major bill that has become law had more Democrat signatures than Republican. MAGA Republicans do not know how to govern. They only know how to lie, complain, and play the victim," they added.

"I wish you were this passionate about the things that really matters. And please, take some political classes if you don’t know political terms definitions," jibed a fourth.

"I’ll repeat: You voted for him. Look in the mirror," chided a fifth user.
